We're not going back to the Alexandria until they do something about the screens.
The round 1 game was was out of focus and the contrast and brightening need fixing as well - very, very poor.
For the inner-westies ... this week we'll be at the Western Suburbs AFL Club at Croydon Park. Apparently, they have a great bistro, and the game is up on the big screen in the auditorium. We'll give it a go!!Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

The match is live at 8pm (live) on Fox Sports, 10 and ONE, which is standard fare when the Swans play interstate. I don't know of any replays scheduled.10100111001 ;-)Comment

Are many people getting to Club Swans for the games? I am within walking distance so was thinking of popping up there Saturday night. Either that or stay at home and yell at the telly as I usually do.
The Alexandria is usually good on a match night although yes, some of the big screens are a bit average. Still good for a bit of atmosphere though...Comment

I just went to Club Swans first the first time since the 2005 Grand Final on the weekend (to watch East Perth in the foxtel Cup, then the Suns v Blues and Dockers v Cats games). If nothing else, the food there was fantastic. Plus they obviously prioritise the AFL.Comment

Go to Club Swans in Kings Cross. Really nice venue, food and drinks are reasonable priced, plus there's usually a function with Craig Davis (Nick's dad) hosting the broadcast. Get the train to Kings Cross station, or there's plenty of bus services.I'll be in Sydney this weekend and want to watch the West Coast game with some Swans fans. In Melbourne we have 'The Rising Sun' to go and watch interstate games. Is there an official 'Swans' pub in Sydney? If not, can anyone suggest a good place to go and watch the game?Comment

And if you get there a little bit earlier, Western Suburbs are playing North Shore in the Sydney AFL on the adjoining Picken Oval at 2.10pm. I'll be there with the rest of the Digital Sports commentary team for the match of the round telecast."It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.
