Though if the Dry Dock is the place to go and run by Swans fans, I may head there this weekend. Meet my Swans-friendly locals.
The Dock actually plays the games with the sound on (though this is not necessarily a bonus) I won?t be there this week (Brother?s engagement party, talk about getting your priorities wrong!!) but will definitely be the for the next away game

We're not going back to the Alexandria until they do something about the screens.
The round 1 game was was out of focus and the contrast and brightening need fixing as well - very, very poor.

For the inner-westies ... this week we'll be at the Western Suburbs AFL Club at Croydon Park. Apparently, they have a great bistro, and the game is up on the big screen in the auditorium. We'll give it a go!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Thanks for the 'pub' info guys. I have one more request though. Can anyone tell me whether foxtel or One will have a replay of the game in Sydney late Saturday or sometime on Sunday? (Can't currently access the fox online guide.)

The match is live at 8pm (live) on Fox Sports, 10 and ONE, which is standard fare when the Swans play interstate. I don't know of any replays scheduled.

Oh, they have changed.... you wouldn't recognize the CBH if you went back there today, they rennovated a few years back, killing all the atmosphere and character it ever had.

Are many people getting to Club Swans for the games? I am within walking distance so was thinking of popping up there Saturday night. Either that or stay at home and yell at the telly as I usually do.

The Alexandria is usually good on a match night although yes, some of the big screens are a bit average. Still good for a bit of atmosphere though...

I just went to Club Swans first the first time since the 2005 Grand Final on the weekend (to watch East Perth in the foxtel Cup, then the Suns v Blues and Dockers v Cats games). If nothing else, the food there was fantastic. Plus they obviously prioritise the AFL.

Go to Club Swans in Kings Cross. Really nice venue, food and drinks are reasonable priced, plus there's usually a function with Craig Davis (Nick's dad) hosting the broadcast. Get the train to Kings Cross station, or there's plenty of bus services.

Was thinking the same thing. Anyone know if level 3 is open again for away games?

No, not yet re-opened and I was told that it won't be any time soon.

And if you get there a little bit earlier, Western Suburbs are playing North Shore in the Sydney AFL on the adjoining Picken Oval at 2.10pm. I'll be there with the rest of the Digital Sports commentary team for the match of the round telecast.

I might pop over for a gander. If I see ya, I'll come and say g'day.
