you know what - seeing as its Royal wedding day - I might wear a tiara to the game - give it a bit of a regal feel. Its just a little bit of fun & frivolity (which there isnt enough of these days!) I went years ago to a Curry club luncheon with a bunch of expat Poms to celebrate the queen mothers 100th. I donned a tiara ( there were 4 of us girls amoungst about 20 blokes) - one bloke was wearing a tiara as well, he looked smashing, Aussie Ange was wearing her best tartan ensemble (QM was scottish afterall) - it was a long and boozy affair, but a heap of fun none the less! Lets make a night of it kids!!! Regal red and white! and rip the blues a new one!

I'm with a few others here. It's our first Friday night home game in goodness knows how long so we should be trying to get people to go to the game rather than watching the League or the wedding. I have no problem with a delayed telecast on this occasion.

Cleaning up I found last week's tele guide and there was no AFL on friday night last week on 7mate either. Replay 6am Saturday morning.

Yeah, sorry guys. I moved house three weeks ago and even though i'm still in the same suburb, I'm now only getting counry tv (Prime). There aren't too many differences in the programming but this looks like it's one of them.

I'm making my first trip to the SCG for this game. My boss texted a mate of his to see if he could sort out some tickets for me. Just waiting to hear back from Mr Round on that one

I wouldn't be surprised if 9 in Sydney make the same decision 7 has made in Melbourne and runs with the usual Friday night League double header, thus leaving the wedding to 7 and 10.

No chance of that I'm afraid, Ch9 has sent those inexecrable Today hosts Karl Stefanovic and Lisa Wilkinson to cover it live.

I think it's only for the country affliate PRIME that they were having Friday night footy from 8.30. I posted an article about this in the General Footy Forums.

I get the country Prime cover and there is no mention of it here. I'll tune in next Friday to check.

Really sux you guys and girls in sydney have to wait for delayed telecasts,no wonder alot of people are turning to illegal streams of games.I have heard a rumour that if 7 get the next rights part of the deal is live games into sydney with the afl obviously wanting to get more exposure with GWS coming in next year,and apparently their happy to forego live into melbourne if 7 will commit to live games in sydney.Purely a rumour but the person it comes from is usually reliable.
