I said to mates before the season started that he was finished. Doesn't make a lot of difference if he plays or not. I'm more concerned with the defence anyway. The quicker the Irishman and LRT comeback the better side we'll be.

if he does get fit and can play he will be slotted straight in because he is a great player, i think the impact of him being forced out, if it happens, wont be as bad as the media would have people believe. But i think it could only help players like reid and white to have bradshaw, i dont think glass would go to reid on saturday night if bradshaw was there
Theres not much left to say

Agree, I dont think we need him either. Sure he'd be great to have in the team but we certainly dont NEED him. I had already conceeded him not playing again after he couldnt get though training the second time in the pre-season and I cant see how things are gonna change....im expecting a craig bolton like retirement in the coming weeks.

Our forward line was positively lethal when Braddy played those first few rounds last year. There is no way his return would be disruptive. Plus, there is a lot to be said for his influence on our younger players coming through. Very much hope to see him back but like the rest, I have my doubts.

Latest news - doesn't hurt when he walks. For now. Still not optimistic.

The fact that he's resuming light running is great news. It's heartening for him personally and means he's still a chance to play again.

Sticking with optimism on Bradshaw, if he comes back into the team towards the end of the year and plays finals.... thats the only reason why we traded him... finals. (ignoring bulldogs game, he could have kicked 5)

Obviously a glass half empty man.

I would have thought that if Bradshaw was to never play for Sydney again, today would have been the day of such an announcement. Bradshaw's odds of being back on the paddock in 2011 are about as good as Collingwood's odds of making the Grand Final this year, $1.63 according to Centrebet.

That's pretty insulting to the team that won the elimination final against Carlton the previous week. They stood up to Judd pretty well, didn't they?

As for it being Bradshaw's first game for 3 months, well, that proves why he should not have been selected for that game. He's just not that critical to our chances.

Look, we all know what's going to happen when his knee is put under match pressure.

If it's been hurting him to walk, he'd be better off pulling the plug sooner rather than later, before he ends up permanently compromising his mobility. Too many footballers end up limping around for the rest of their lives. It's just not worth it.

As gutsy as our efforts have been to date, it's hard not to think that our ability to mix it with the best is highly correlated with a fit Bradshaw and a fit Malceski and all that means for team balance etc.

BUt maybe that's just delusional and delaying the development of a White, Reid, Johnston or (even) Dre. What will be, will be I guess...

You and I must define insulting differently.

Carlton finished 8th, 'Dogs finished 4th. Judd turned the game on its head in the 3rd qtr, what do you mean we stood up to him? We won a final at home that we were expected to win - I loved it but we beat the 8th placed team by a kick at home. The 'Dogs were better than Carlton and Bradshaw very nearly won us the game.

We'll be a good side without Bradshaw. We could be a very good one with him.
