As for Everitt, we are talking about 1 quarter of footy, where the unexpected switch seem to catch the West Coast defenders out, given that Shannon Hurn ended up playing on him rather than a taller opponent as you would expect. If he can repeat the dose in 3 or 4 games then we can start talking.
    Should have said 'set shot'
Dunno what his stats are for set shots, but I have tended to put my head in my hands when he is 35 out directly in front in the past....

Everitt made it look easy. I doubt he'll go forward permanently, but it gives us another option if we want to put Goodes into the mids.

Speaking of White, that was surely one of his best games. 3 goals, including one in the last quarter, and 2 goal assists.

Gotta agree with you on Bevan. He just continually makes mistakes and too often fumbles under little pressure.
Once Moore comes back he is the obvious out. Once Merdith consolidates and if Sumner continues improving he'll be gone.

i was ready to ship everitt back to the dogs early in the game, he did fight back, but hes a defender id say, maybe he can be our adam hunter, without the rats tail and skummy cockyness

Nice. A thread on Incy and White has lapsed into Bevo bashing in only a page and a half. At least we're consistent!

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

So we are spreading Jesse from forward to ruck and back again. Now we'll throw him down back? Geez, when's he ever going to have a settled position to produce what everyone wants...?

I agree. It is strange that this talk would come up now given his game on Sat. night was his best game since Rd 22 2009.

Yep when I agree with M@M we must be right. Leave him at FF. I never thought i'd say it but he has been half decent the last few weeks

No criticism of White intended. His game was good but clearly he has a new role now.He is a forward/ruckman as opposed to the key Forward position player to be the "Bradshaw" type goal sneak. He is not in a permanent place so cannot be the focal point of attacks. To have Everitt who can really kick a ball straight under pressure,is big and can present and mark is literally icing on the cake.Perhaps still needed down back given Tiger's form or lack of it and LRT's abscence but later he might be the answer to a more potent attack. Even a "Hunter" type role would be an excellent extra string in our bow.Let's celebrate the teams flexibility with Rohan being the winning sub,Everitt amazing the fans with two classic forwards goals.

Everitt has a similar build to a certain coach who played Full Forward & kicked a lot of goals due mainly to his accuracy. Everitt probably won't play forward often but a good play in a pinch. He is a good kick & has demonstrated this from junior level & has played forward before successfully again in a cameo role. Although at more junior levels has been reasonably successful at kicking for the biggies according to Gerard Healy. He also kicks a very long way from a set shot 55-65 metres & very useful for the long kick in. By the way loved Nicky Smith's 55 metre goal a real beauty. Jetta's run was sensational but I wish he would get more involved.

The Cats have some big forwards so this coming game will show more of what "might be".
Definitely AJ was very good but maybe LJ can come in & be just as good, just a thought. I don't think Everitt has been all that flash down there so why not give him a go in the Forwards (I believe it was tried in the pre-season). Reg hasn't helped much as his disposal has been appalling this year. Teddy was on Lynch for quite a bit of the game but was trying to make out poor 1st gamer AJ had him at one stage, even though the lad got him after. Teddy you naughty boy!! Maybe we need to look at the backs altogether. Tadhg will be back next week.

It's all about versatility now. I thought White's good work against the Eagles came as both a ruck and a forward. The subs rule may be the making of White because playing ruck forces him back into the contest. His biggest weakness has been that he does a couple of good things then falls out of the game.

Even before the sub rule, the Pies had great success with Leigh Brown. After the Seaby experiment in round 1, that looks like the path we're going too.

That said, I reckon if we're ever going to go with two rucks, it'll be on the SCG. If Seaby and Pyke get overlooked this week I can't imagine when either will play, injuries notwithstanding.
