Our forward line just doesn't cut it ATM. McGlynn was the only dangerous forward. Mummy can only do so much, can we really expect him to go forward a kick goals each week?
White has had his chance, he just hasn't taken it. I've always thought he is just on the verge of kicking a bag but it just never happens. The last few weeks, those thoughts have disappeared.Comment

bevan was rubbish, absolute rubbish, but to me bevan should be a small forward who tackles and creates pressure. I like reid down back too. I was just disapointed from the first bounce we had pyke in, i didnt want him in anyway, but it was not even fair to the big guy to chuck him in on a night like tonight in that structure, it was pointless.
Did we not learn about the sub rule after round 1? what a poor selection. We got beaten by a side full of desperation and a desire for a contest tonight, we have some players who look to be busting a gut and others who seemingly flash in and out as it pleases themTheres not much left to sayComment

I think White is the player who is most in need of 'a boot up the arse'. He would respond better to old time coaches - Barassi, Kennedy etc. A lot of talent and physical presence - he needs to bloody use it!
I didn't expect him to play well tonight due to the rain but I'd love the Swans to get Plugger to spend a week with him. Would be worth a lot of money. I know Jesse's hands aren't as sticky as Plugger's but he needs to learn to time his leads.Comment

Absolutely buggered, what a slog of a match to sit through. I guess I can take solace in finding myself on the good ol' 11:18 outta Central, what a train, what a trip it will be, what a highlight of the night.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

TDL has to come into the team. We desperately need someone else up front that can mark. Kicked 5 in the ressies didn't he (Although against a poor team)- we really need another option up forward that isn't a tall."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

I think the reason Grundy was taken out of the team tonight was because his disposal coming out of defense has been @@@@ house for this whole season.
And on White and Everitt i think they just need someone senior to tell them to get their asses into gear and perhaps the coaches to consider dropping them if their effort doesn't improve.Comment

It may have been just how we saw it live and the replay/tele may have been kinder, but my Carlton supporting friend I was sitting with (lucky me!) both noticed that in one of the few moments of clear sky of the evening Bevo ran towards the 50 with plenty of space and head White flying towards him on a lead with good seperation on his defender and Bevo just pinged away from 50 with a heavy ball (and missed). When he was jogging back as Carlton kicked out I noticed him take a couple of quick, guilty glances at the interchange bench.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

I'm jealous of Jesse White. He has the best seats in the house and boy does he take full advantage of it. For a team that has been blessed with the leading work of Barry Hall and a little of Bradshaw last year, we are struggling to adjust. Even Mummy who hS not plYed much forward in his career gave us so much more when he was rested thereComment
