I still think that we need someone who can kick a goal. Still hope that TDL will get his chance soon.

When is Longmire going to blood some youngsters? Didn't he learn anything from Roos.

Interesting Marty is on the bench and Johnson in the main line up. Great to have Lurch back, finally.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

Have to feel a little sorry for each of the emergencies, for different reasons. Poor Seabs comes to the club as leading ruckman, gets injured, gets overtaken by Mummy, then gets overtaken by a Canadian ex-rugby player, has the coach speak very enthusiastically about his reserves game last week and yet still gets overlooked when Canadian rugby player gets injured.

Johnston must be wondering when it will finally be his turn.

Moore must be wondering whether he will prove to be a victim of the substitute rule. My main angst at this rule change is that it will gradually see players like Moore exterminated from our game. I know some don't particularly rate him, but I think he has been a valuable contributor at times and I would like to think there is room in our sport for players of his ilk.

This looks a pretty solid side, and I'm impressed that they have been prepared to drop Moore, presumably to fit Parker in. I think either he or Jetta could be the sub, and I'd be happy with either; each could have a significant impact coming on fresh. I get the impression from others' comments that Parker for Moore means a net gain in leg-speed, which would be another plus.
I agree with Liz about Seaby; I'm of the opinion that in most games two ruckmen is an advantage, not a liability, especially when they can both fulfil other roles.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

No White, Bevan or Moore. Who are we going to "whip" now?
I think there might be a late change, why else name Seaby as an emergency.

A good side.Dropping Moore for Parker is a bold move and completely unexpected.I thought Moore had a Gold Pass but I like it that a kid can force their way in through performance. Thats the way it should be an keeps morale high.Everybody is there coz they deserve to be. Even the guys in the two's know this and try that little bit harder when they know the door can be opened.I am excited by this team. Probably like to have seen Seaby in but don't ask me who to leave out!!

I'd go for Jetta or Nipper as sub.

This is a mistake IMO and we should be exploiting our height on dry grounds more. With LRT you have the versatile "White type" who can ruck but this might be a big ask after so long out of the top level. Jetta has a Gold Pass and will not get dropped now (or ever)as he can regain confidence against weaker sides like PA. Moore who is still too slow sub or not also will be picked.Maybe Parker will not debut but he deserves to! Against PA I would wager he would be in our best players after his first game. This kid is made of the right stuff.
i rate him as a developing player but i would almost of considered sam reid for a rest if i wanted to squeeze a second ruck in. But as you say bloody hard to drop anyone and great to see what looks like a form side out there. Keeps players hungry
Theres not much left to say

Yeah wouldn't surprise if Marty dropped out with his sore shoulder.
Johnston could also replace him....2 debuts on the same night......not likely, but it would be fun to watch.
