The early morning chill has burnt off and our lads are going to be faced with playing under a fierce midday sun. Definite contrast to the icy 9am start at Manuka or the downpours of Lakeside Oval.

Excellent first q performance. 5.3 to 0.4. Goals to Eugene, Jesse, Kane, LJ and Jesse again. Too many good players to single any out.

Great start. Can Jesse keep going and work his way back into the firsts?
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Thanks liz sounds like an excellent start. Are all three emergencies playing?

Big fight back from Lions in that quarter, kicking six goals to four with much increased workrate. And arguably some "lucky" umporing calls. Swans goals to Bevo, Eugene, Currie and Jesse. Spectators spotted include B2 and Jake O.

Can't remember who was named as emergencies. Can't think of anyone obviously missing.

Oh cool! Nice hear that Jake is around! And B2. Well spotted liz. Jake did say he would continue with Rules when he returned to Qld, so that is a good.

Nice also to hear that my lovechild and project player kicked one.

Just picked up on a tweet that the NEAFL GWS beat GCSuns!

Swans back on top . 5 goals to 1 in that quarter. Goals to Nipper, Jesse, Bevo, Currie and, I think, Heath.

Good to see White amongst the scorers. Hopefully he will be encouraged by TDL's recall

Wow. Turned into a thriller after Swans almost stopped to trot in final term. Byron kicked first of q but then Loons kicked 7 in a row to trail by just a single point. Swans were holding on, just. and then Murphy, I think, snapped the sealer from congestion.

                                Thanks Liz.

LJ back or forward? Did he play the full game?
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!
