THere was one where Josh Kennedy managed to swing himself around a Carlton players at least 540 degrees. He didn't get the free either. Oh...wait....I see.

Ask Bruce a question , please : has he got the taste of Chris Judd's butt out of his mouth yet ?
Admiration is one thing . Sycophancy is quite another.

Just watched a replay and unless you're a masochist I highly don't recommend it. They are just better than us, the most disappointing thing being they are sitting right in our premiership window with the age of players and all. I'd like to say the game was lost at the selection table, and I think we could have put forward a better team on the day, I don't think it would have mattered.

I was going to write some random thoughts, but... 28 points after 3 and 1/4 quarters says it all.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Don't recall him as a player (tall gangly ruckman I believe) but he was a very successful coach in the Sunday League and eventually coached West Perth in the WAFL (with what degree of success I don't recall).

Here's an interesting little tidbit that I noticed (at least I thought it was interesting)- a friend who is a big Blues fan is always talking up the "young" Carlton, and I think the media buy into that too, was ribbing me about how bright their future is and how bleak it is for Sydney. I've done some very quick number crunching (rounding up/down in age to nearest full year age to make it easy, so is probably a tad off) so I can throw it in their face a little, of the two teams that were fielded on the weekend the average age of the "old" Swans was approx 25.7 and the average age of the "young" Blues was 24.6- and that's with the Swans.

To expand just a little, the average age of our best per afl.com.au (Smith, Kennedy, Hannebery, Reid??) was 21.5 whilst for Carlton's best (Kreuzer, Murphy, Yarran, Gibbs, Scotland?) it was 24. Not sure I 100% agree with those best lists, and concede that Scotland throws that average out of whack quite a bit for them in the small sample size- taking Scotland out of the equation it drops to 22.25.

Sydney will always suffer as a result of lazy journalism. Too stupid and lazy to do research properly and indifferent as to the result.

So the "aging" Swans will keep being brought up and this will be relied upon by supporters who fall into the above criteria.

                  I just ignore it.

The best part is that I actually got the ages from there and threw them into a spreadsheet to average them without even spotting that! I'm suprised at how close those rounded numbers came I must say.

Still, the best list is interesting!
