I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time -
Disappointing to see Alex Johnson dropped. I'm worried as to whether or not Richards will be fully fit come Saturday night. We can't afford ANY passengers.
Not really a surprise that Jetta has been dropped; he's not done enough to justify his spot for a while now.
Surprised to see Brett Meredith back.Comment

Unlikely to win this game and not that excited with the changes.
White as the 2nd ruck will not work and is the reason he was dropped last time as he is not up to that kind of role. Will not learn to be a key forward if he does not play out of the square for the next 10 weeks. Goodes needs to play in the midfield for us to have any chance.
Bevan is no longer a quick player as he once was in 2005 and is really only a defensive stopper. Concerned that with the changes we will be to tall and slow to match the pies.Comment

Looking over the swans stats this year to just have a look how much missing Mummy against the pies will hurt us and surprisingly it may actually help us.Mummy so far this year has 98 disposals with 27 clangers, the highest by any swan by far,he also has 20 frees against which is comfortably the most by any swan this year.Having said this id take Mummy of 2010 into any game but this year something isnt right be it injury or just not being as fit due to less preparation.Seaby as a single ruckman seems to play better when he's the head honcho anyway, surely for the rest of the year they should never play together just be managed week by week to make sure they are both 100% right in the pointy end of the season. And im sure someone will point out Mummy is there for hitouts but in todays game you just cant afford to be a one trick pony, hope he lifts.Cant wait for Pyke to be fit again as he really gives something else to the team besides rucking, and genuinly looks the best marking/forward option out of all of our Rucks.Comment

Good ins given the injuries. We aren't going win the game so best TDL gets fit and firing in the Ressies so he is ready to play in the latter rounds. He needs to be fit to play for 4 qtrs if needed and he doesn't look it, when he is subbed he looks buggered.
A vastly superior effort over last week in terms of skill execution will do me. We need some confidence going into the next couple of rounds after this so we shore up the highest position possible in the finals. Top 4 is not out of the question.Comment

Pretty happy with these changes as the inclusion of White and Everitt would appear to release Goodes to the midfield.
Don't mind Bevan coming in, provided he plays forward. Could be a good matchup for Shaw.
Would like to see one of the regulars given a turn as sub, to help them get through the season. Perhaps Hannebery?Comment
