    Round 14 - Collingwood

Regardless of who plays, or what their position is, I?ll tell you the one thing we need to defeat Collingwood this Saturday night.

    Hunger. Raw, primal hunger.

We showed a bit of that hunger during the NAB Cup match in Melbourne, which was the first time in years we?ve put up ANY sort of show against the Magpies, before another slow start killed us.

To have any chance of winning, we must hit the field from the first bounce with the mentality of single-minded, cold-blooded assassins. No more losing the first quarter and all that follows.

And it would make no end of difference if our supporters turned up in a red-meat kind of mood, and stayed that way.

Deliberately fire up the team when they run out ? and keep them fired up all night. Remind Collingwood this is our home game, and this time, they can **** off back to Melbourne empty-handed, and stick their arrogant disrespect for us.

It?s time for everyone to stand up and make a statement.

Swans - by whatever it takes.

If we win the 3rd quarter I will be happy : )

But yes, time to take back this home game. I HATE (and I don't use that word often) having the Pies supporters come up here and sing their song with smug faces. Someone make this end!? Pleeeeeease?! I am begging.

IF that were to happen, big IF, then it would be one hell of a game to watch, let alone to be apart of. Surely the swans HAVE to go out there with the mentality of having 'nothing to lose, but everything to gain'. It's the only way that they'll even be in with a slight chance of winning.

Not good enough. This sort of attitude is lethal.

In any case, we've won four 3rd quarters out of a possible eight against Collingwood at Homebush. It's the first and second quarters we must start winning.

Again, not good enough. It's this type of thinking that's killing us.

I think the winner on the night will be ANZ Stadium. I love going out there to see a great game.

Mugpies by 12 goals. I picked yesterday's margin and next week will be a no brainer.

Believe me, this attitude is killing us before we even take the field.

Right, because my attitude has a direct influence of the team's spirit and subsequently their chances of victory. I've generally taken the glass half-full approach to this match in the past 6 years, thought I might try something different this week.

Yeah right... The player/s who uses the excuse that we got beat because those nasty RWO people didn't believe in us should be sacked and forced to play with the lions.

Magpies by 92 (using Uggs philosophy)

Not even going to watch this game, we will get thumped. Carlton are a good side but not as good as what people make them out to be, our woeful play yesterday made them look alot better. I dont even want to think about what's going to happen on saturday. Im already looking towards the crows game. Collingwood by 47 points.

This is what made it tougher for me. They're kicking skills are much better though it has to be said. They tackled well too yesterday. But I do agree. Was very hard to listen to Ch7 crap on about how great they are when we made things much easier for them. Until the 3rd qtr Carlton weren't really kicking goals and we had set shots going out on the full!! We made them look very good yesterday and that really irks me. CH7 were spewing out rubbish in the 2nd qtr and we were only 19 points behind through fault of our own. I truly hope we meet them in September. I'm praying in fact.

We'll all suffer through it, with the hope that maybe this might be the day things click.
