Just on Jude. Has anyone mentioned what a terrific game he had last night?
Nice on Pendles to help him out a bit too.

Jude will go very close to Club Champion this season at the rate he is going. He is having a sensational year in the absence of Kirky. He won't be far off being All Australian either if the judges can look past all the Melbourne based pretty boys.

I have already inked Jude in as CC. Its about time too (she said like she knows what the ptb think!). He is playing like Kirky did. Like it was his last game, every game.
I have a few other types pencilled in too.

Thanks Wardy! And I concur with Lucky - give it a go. It's comedy gold.

We were like kids in a candy shop pre-game. VW singalong, red noses, clappers, giant glasses, photos taken at the green screen. And then, of course, beer, the grown-up's candy... ;-) Since I was confident of a Swans victory I was keen to make it the BEST GAME EVER. Didn't quite work out on the scoreboard but what a game! Bad luck for those who stayed home nurturing their pessimism... The weather even co-operated and was relatively mild.

Also, do other teams have as much going on around the ground at games? The club seems to do a great job of creating a "game day". I can't remember seeing it in Melbourne or Brisbane but that proves nothing - I am not so likely to be checking out what's being run by the opposition.

There's some great pictures of free kicks we didn't get on Real Footy.

Sydney's best: 1. Shaw for the damn good job he did sticking to Daisy, 2. Collingwood's fwd line inaccuracy.
Sydney's worst: 1. Jesse White - you know you are in trouble when even Matty Lloyd reckons you are soft, 2. Tadgh Kennelly - one season too long i think....

Gonna have to step in - in defense of J.White.

The call you are refering to is just another example of the failure of Matthew Lloyd as a commentator.

White held the front spot on a strong lead and the ball was kicked behind him. Did all he could, but it just favoured Tarrant.

White gave away his first free on the weekend for unnecessarily throwing off an opponent after claiming a strong contested mark. B.Hall would be proud.

Marty Mattner is the most desperate Swan on our list. Considering the way we play our footy that is quite a statement.

Surprised by those saying this felt like a win. I can draw parallels with the Richmond game earlier in the year. We were "Collingwood" (I feel dirty) on that occasion. We were only close due to their poor performance. A long way to go....but I think we'll get there.

If Lloyd was refering to that incident then it's a silly statement, he was a FF and would have been livid at that delivery. Goodesy was the one delivering inside 50 to the lead, White had good seperation on Tarrant and a well placed kick should have resulted in a good marking opportunity for him within range- Goodesy propped it and kicked behind White's lead which set it up nicely for Tarrant, it was easy enough to see what happened at distance whilst on the ground, let alone then seeing it on the replay on the big screen.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Fantastic effort. Disapointing to come so close and lose.

As far as the idiot squad (umpires) goes that was an absolute disgrace. Obviously the incorrect disposal and HTB rules did not apply to Collingwood because I saw so many instances whan they could have been pin ged ignored and then they get a goal when the ball was clearly over the line. What have we got to do to get a fair go from the maggots. If we ever got a 50/50 call go our way I think I would drop dead on the spot!

I think Bevo may stay if we keep white

I say this because Bevo gives other key players more game time in their best positions and his delivery to a big target like White is a pretty good kick when he is on song

The danger with Bevo is he has some crazy moments.............yet his mongrel and team flexibility for matchups I thought worked on the weekend

I would like to LJ to continue to fill while AJ is not there.............Teddy speaks alot in the backline.............Grundy doesnt and Kennelly has struggled to chat as much as he has been under the gun and down a little on form...........so in that context I am very impressed with LJ against such a dangerous Forward line rotation such as the Pies

Does everyone else agree that the Pies really struggled to forward press us ??

I thought our strategy of tapping down and using up time in the ruck was great and it frustrated the hell out of the Pies midfield hence starved them of quick break but starved them of pushing us into our backline..........so much was played in the middle of the field compared to what the Pies would be used to every other week !

Very good tactics against a team with two very big targets as well and great players

I keep looking at a replay of Cloke's final goal.....I don't reckon it was a goal: it looked like it sailed over the big stick. I know it would have been hard not to give it but.......Anthony Rocca was denied a goal against the Lions in a grand final when the goal ump thought it would have hit the big stick.
