    Good effort boys.
Spot on, they never gave up, Collingwood easily won the inside 50s and kept us in the game in the 3rd quarter with their kicking, but the boys were gutsy and while not a win, it is a far different feeling to last week.

I think that 50 against McVeigh was ridiculous- plus the 50 was about 95 - a true 50 would have been not even inside the F50!

What a shame we couldn't find that way to get over the line. But that was an absolutely sensational effort from the boys- I am so proud of them. After last week's debacle I really feared for tonight's game, but while we were helped by the Pies inaccurate kicking, the effort we put in really did keep us in the game, and had it been for a bounce of the ball or two, we may of won the game. Lots and lots of positives to take from tonight.

Tonight showed just what potential our team has. It might sound strange, but that might be the most important loss of the season - we might just have realised that we are good enough to genuinely compete with the best teams. The young guys especially will take a lot from tonights effort.

We had a lot of excellent performances tonight- but I want to give Mcveigh a shout. I gave him a real serve from the boundary line last week against Carlton. He stood up tonight and played much much better- leading like a Captain should and I hope my spray may have helped in that!

If you think we were good tonight think again, we were good in parts but we need to learn how to deliver the ball by hand & foot correctly. We don't have the ball skills at this stage to take on the big sides & if the Pies had kicked strait we would have been slaughtered. I like the fact that under pressure tharted to doubt themselves, unfortunately our blokes didn't believe they could win by giving the ball up far too easily. the same story too much bad delivery & if Adam Goodes is a Captain I wish he would start acting like one instead of playing for frees all day. It gives a bad example to the rest of the team. Roosie used to pull him in line & tell him to get real but Horse seems happy to let him play for frees. Ok, he kicked a few goals but 2 of them were gifts, he needs to get more involved & being in the forward line is not the way. He is much better out of the square. well done to the boys tonight as we were not expected to even get within a league of this mob

This is the best I have felt after a collingwood game... I don't know what that means bit I think it's a good thing.

Interesting point, the game was there for the taking, but maybe the self belief after 6 years of copping it from them wasn't.

Maybe take Tige out of that list and I'm with you. He tried hard but was chasing all night. And let's not mention that handball ...

Seabs - love him. Dominant performance tonight.

Big effort by Macca, the best I've seen him put in for a while.

Smith is just awesome IMO. Grace under fire week in, week out. His biggest test tonight and he didn't disappoint.

Jesse & Bevo really had a crack tonight. Not easy to come back in against the competition benchmark after months in the 2's.

A HUGH improvement in effort by everyone from last week. Odd as it sounds it was easier to watch this loss to Collingwood than the win against Richmond.

Means your proud of the effort like most of us. Although you'll get the odd few who can't resist a whinge. Let them wallow because I'm a proud Swans supporter tonight because not only did the get within a kick of the reigning premiers and best team in the comp but I think they showed that within a couple of years our premiership window will be wide open and who would dare to bet against us jumping through that window.

We just need to come out and start against Adelaide like we finished here. We need to get out and stuff them really early and show that we are a genuine top eight side and not just a side that plays at the level of it's opponent

So close yet so far. Our best effort against them for years. Pity the umpiring cost us the game.

We rarely agree CS but on the umpires we are hand in hand. They are utter rubbish and seem to pander to certain clubs like the Pies. They are a bloody joke.

Our effort was great, but once again, we win the third and fourth quarter, but get let down by a slow start. At least this time the game was well and truly alive in the fourth quarter.

We'd be a bottom 8 team without him.

                          Fantastic stuff Joey!!

I thought we started quite well. They got to a 5 goal lead in the third term before we pegged them back. Apart from that we were near them for most of the game.

And another player that the commentators said had a bad game was Shaw.
Sorry how much influence did Daisy have on the game tonight??
