I agree with the general idea here, but would drop Everitt. Even Tadhg at his klutziest gives us more.He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

AJ and Ted go back into defence, LRT back into the 2nd ruck role, Jesse plays at FF all game, LJ moves forward.Comment

Bevo is not there as an individual I think he was there against the pies to allow us flexibility with other key matchups"be tough, only when it gets tough"

I really don't know about TDL, our midfielders seem to kick enough goals to win games, which is good because it makes us unpredictable, and the point about delivery is true too, the game has changed so much that probaly 2 specialist forwards are all you can carry and the rest need to be able to rotate thru the midfield. I think we have to have Bev in there because he adds forward pressure on the opposition rebound. Teddy comes back in if fit as does AJ. LJ out, unfortunately, and LRT to play forward and ruck. Everitt out. where does that leave me?
AJ, Ted, Marty
Tadgh, Reg, Mal
ROK, Bolton, Kennedy
Bevan, Reid, Mcglynn
McV, White, LRT
Seaby, Hanners, Goodes
Shaw, Bird, Smith, Jetta
This is assuming Jack gets the week off. The forward line looks tall, but I would assume LRT might start on the bench, and if needed go back. If Jack plays................. gawd, [I] suppose yd have to drop LRTYou can't argue with a sick mind - Joe WalshComment

Playfair said TDL's first half (8 goals) was good but he lacked pressure skills in the second half. Apparently Spangher looked good at CHF and kicked 6 straight in the half when he went forward. Interesting. Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.Comment

I wonder what the story with his fitness is. He just doesn't seem to be able to run out games atm.Comment

It really is weird because at the end of the preseason he was being mentioned as the only player to complete every session and was the fittest he had ever been. Did that foot injury hurt his fitness to such a large degree that he can't run even run out games in the ressies?Comment

Lrt probably only holds his spot until Pyke's fit for mine, and Seaby and Mumford should be game managed and probably never play together at the same time again.
Seaby clearly prefers to be the no1 ruck, which obviously isnt the case when Mummys in.
Would love to see Smith given a slightly more attacking role off halfback. Also it surely is worth a shot against Adelaide to bring Spangher in and see what he can offer.Comment

Seaby and Mummy can play together in the same time, they've had one ( full) game together this year when Mummy was clearly lacking fitness ( and arguably form too ) .
I dont see why when both are fit, they cant be an excellent duo.
Both are good to very good ruckman, both can go forward, and Seaby in particular has good hands and could drop back in a hole in defence when resting from the ruck. ( a tactic which would have been handy against the pies )Comment
