WIth Rischetelli, Ablett (not just inside but definitely brilliant at it), Swallow, Harris and the like, they are pretty well set for inside mids. In fact, they seem pretty much set for in most areas except experience and the endurance that comes with a few pre-seasons into their younger stars.

I wish and we would probably drop a senior player or 2 occasionally..!

Absolutely no chance at all of getting Reiwoldt, none.

However GC have a wealth of good young forwards and it has been mentioned many a time in the media that they will have to offload one or 2 at seasons end so the Dixon call is spot on.

Yes why do we continue to play backmen, mids & nohopers in our forwardline. Other than Reid the rest are fodder, not specialist forwards. Pity young Jed is injured as he is very trick I do think we could play LJ at FB or CHB as we need someone who can kick in & hit a player or to of advantage of our players in a pack. What a massive kick he has on him, one against Pies went nearly 70 metres strait down the guts. How bout this for a forwardline.

          TDL Spanger Mc Viegh

          O'Keefe Reid Nipper

Lambie to come in when fit

Your both right but i guess the thread is about who else is out there if and when we need to look for more forwards.

Why is Liam Jurrah missing from the list, he is a tall forward or plays tall at FF. I think he would do better up here with Goodsie for a role model than at the d's.

Not sure if you read the start of the thread or just looked at the names,i decided to leave the absolute guns from each side off the list as i dont think we have any chance of getting a ready made star,if one becomes available i believe the GWS or Dogs will get to them first.

So i went for the next tier or the up and comers,so yeah thats why Jurrah isnt on the list, got any positive input on anyone who was mentioned or just the fact that i should be talking about who we already have or that i missed one name off the list?

get him on bugger all salary, conditions in his contract that if he mucks up its the door. the few times that he has spoken about goal kicking he has made perfect sense and could be a perfect football tudor for Ben Reid
Would not even cost that if we got him through the PSD...id be prepared to give him a go and as you say, if he mucks up see-ya later.

Oh hang on a minute, wasn't Jolly contracted when he was traded? Isn't that a coincidence? Maybe we could make Roughead "fall in our lap"?
The fact that they re-signed him for another four years only twelve months ago, coupled with the career-best form he was in this year as a mobile ruckman, would suggest he is a required player at the Hawks and that he won't be going anywhere.

Also, anyone who suggests that either Nick or Jack Riewoldt would leave their respective clubs is, with all due respect, living in a fantasy land.

                        Which was my point.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

You may be right but i dont think GC will be able to keep all the players they have especially seeming theyve said they still want to get more experienced players thru the draft later this year.

I've watched him in a few VFL games on TV. He doesnt come close to tearing that competition apart, and would battle BIG TIME at AFL level now. Forget Fev, hes done.

THE trade period is still three months away, but the quiet jostling has already started.

The Mitch Morton call is a good one,i really think he is worth looking into, got all the talent in the world and if he can get his life together could play some great footy.

Matthew Bate is someone id look at as well, have seen him play some great footy for Casey this year and for Melbourne last year.
