Was thinking of doing a Parker highlight video of last night, anything else anyone wants from it?

Wasn't our best win but an important one given that we've been down on form and confidence. I'm happy enough that we kept our foot on their throat all day and got the big win. It was the Suns' lowest score for the year (and they've kicked a few low scores already).
We should go into the run home with some confidence. We're a good chance to win five or six of the last seven. Draw:
July 17: Freo, SCG
July 23: Bulldogs, SCG
Aug 6: Essendon, Etihad
Aug 14: Richmond, MCG
Aug 21: St Kilda, ANZ
Aug 27: Geelong, Skilled
TBC: Lions, SCGThe man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible newsComment

Was a the game last night, great stadium. North Melbourne and James Brayshaw (a la Dyson Hore-Lacy of mid 80s Fitzroy infammy) will rue not taking up the AFL's offer a few years back to relocate to the Gold Coast.
My observations -
We wasted the third term.
Sam Reid is potentially the best key forward we have produced in a generation
Parker is a potential A Grader
Johnson has poise beyond his years
Spangher looks a likely type, pity about the hammy
Hanneberry is underrated
We missed Smith last week, the difference between a win and a loss to Adelaide
Our delivery by foot and hand needs to improve markedly to be competitive against the better sides
Should have won by 100 but 70 will do.Comment

Just read all the posts in this thread and the undeniable "truth" is that Longmire (and by extension all the coaches) just has to go! Hell, we are a disappointing sixth on the ladder (when most experts predicted a major decline), have unearthed some gun youngsters, have lost both our bookends (19&6), have had the first two in our B&F from last year out of the side for many games, have used all but three players on our list (besides the retirees) plus blooded a rookie .......... It is just impossible to view the season so far as anything other than lamentable. That 1000 odd games of AFL footy of the coaches just doesn't cut it when the highly credentialled critics on RWO are able to skillfully and methodically peel away the layers and expose the weaknesses and missed tactics that their more celebrated coaching staff have failed to notice or address. Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.Comment

Hanners Underrated??
By whom?
He was the 2010 Rising Star, and hasn't taken a backward step this year.
One of our most important players.Comment

I thought it was a really poor performance by the Swans, only masked by the fact GC played their worst game of the year(according to Bluey -their coach!)
Negatives :
Field kicking was erratic at best, both in terms of decision making and execution.
Goal Kicking hasn't improved
Kennelly was again woeful - must be dropped
Moore was very ordinary - he's just too slow.
Should of won by 100+
Positives :
Parker, shows he should never have been dropped in the first place.
Reid , absolutely dominated, albeit against defenders 1 foot shorter.
Spanhger, was lively in the first half, made our forward line look more purposeful... shame about the hamstring.Comment

Wow, we win by 70 points and it is a really poor performance??? Sure there are things to work on I agree but we are not an elite side ala collingwood and geelong who can really grind teams into the dirt. I actually thought the suns played ok for the first 3 qtrs so to win by 70 in the end was pretty good IMO.Comment
