The truth is games like this in the wet have players constantly dropping the ball or incorrectly disposing the ball. To then pluck one out was simply ridiculous. Free may have been there but it's not the point. If you pay that you should have paid about thirty frees in the last quarter.

LRT was pretty good as was McVeigh for a change - Goodesy in patches was brilliant.

Oh well, the season is pretty much done now - I cant see us making the 8 now.
McVeigh put his body in for the first time this year in the last quarter. Hoo bleedin hooray. Too late she cried.

I am more amazed by the match committee - sure umpiring was a disgrace - but FFS rain has been forecast all week - and we set up like this. Im not sure whos worse Umpires or Longmire.

Well if it really was that bad, and sounds like it was, then the swans must lodge a complaint or risk looking pathetic. Richard Colless has been very quiet this year. It's time to make some noise.
Patterns emerge, but do they mean anything? No.

Heard that too, I think the main issue was that the frees that were dubious were all in front of goal and all for Freo, wouldnt have been so bad if the werent. Ray Chamberlain should never umpire a Swans game again

Exactly, the ball is slippery and players are fumbling everywhere. Absolute @@@@house decision representative of the rest of the umpiring for the whole game.

I think there has to be an investigation sydney 6 points down, umpire in question who is 100 metres away from the ball calls a free kick for the team in question sounds a bit fishy to me.

What another poor patrhetic effort. I know the umpires were deplorable and the goals fropm frees was bad. But if Bird keeps getting a game he currently needs a long spell in the magoos, Kennelly should retire NOW, they need to forget White look at trade bait with him and a few others, and as for muumy in the ruck SEABY was performing much better in the ruck alone than Muumy has since he returned ,Ruck the @@@ of them and if Mummy doesnt like it so be it they were getting more drive from Seaby while he rucked alone. Mattner and Shaw are getting to the end also. As for Cptains Goodseyy and McVeigh a far from it, no inspiration from either. I thing now is the time to look to the future and play a few more for experience, not just rotate the regulars.
Another loss that should not occur they have only played 1 worthy game in the past 2 mths, that was against Collinhwood. I for one hope they forget about the 8 it will be embarrassing. What will the Dogs do against them now they are sniffing around the eight, it will be frightening.

It's the sort of umpiring which would entirely justify horse coming out and saying it was the worst umpired game of football he has been associated with and I suspect every swan member would happily contribute $1. It's one of those situations where the club just has to say how absolutely pathetic the umpiring was. Is entirely legitimate to say "we lost because we were not good enough, but I cant avoid something about the umpiring of this match. The umpiring was amongst the worst I have ever been associated with."

Dont care what anyone says...so we fell down in the 3rd....burst back in the last...pretty even 1st half....12 of our 13 goals were from earned effort as opposed to at least 6 direct unmissable gifts to the feral mob!!!! The better side lost....the figures are there....put it into the whole equation and we were robbed....

I have emerged from long time lurking to add my voice to the chorus slamming the umpires. This was the worst umpired match I have ever seen. Umpires should not be prominent in a game, a good umpire is virtually invisible, Ray Chamberlain was the opposite in this game.
How do the AFL expect to promote the game in Sydney or even to encourage the current supporters to continue their support when the umpiring is so one sided?
In light of recent developments, should we be asking, did Ray Chamberlain bet on this game?

I think its pretty obvious from today that White will not be at Sydney this time next year.
Kennely did one thing right today, that spear to McGlynn. Terrible composure from an experienced player. Still struggling with the rise in pressure from his holiday in Ireland.

Another valiant effort ruined by poor umpiring. 80 meter free kicks wooooooo
