    .....f...e..v..

Ok. I know i am going to cop heaps of criticism, but i think we should pick up fev at the end of the year. Here me out before you close the thread. Fair enough, i even understand it would be a huge risk given his off field antics, but i am a strong believer that the bloody media hype up everything than what its worth and they are half the problem with his downfall. If he does not play afl again he will be the most wasted talent in the history of the game. He bagged 11 on the weekend against a fairly terrible opposition, however it does indicate he can still kick perfect. Given sydneys lack of structure up forward he would definetly provide that structure, and i think to pick him up for literally free in the draft he could be used for a year or 2, obviously not a long term proposition given his age. Deep down i know every supporter thinks fevs still a gun its his off field that lets him down, and let me tell u ive spoken to current brisbane players about fev and they all said everyone around the club loved him. We got bradshaw when he was near the end so why not give fev a try. We are known for reforming players arent we? ready for the criticism

He wouldn't contribute on field any less than what Bradshaw did.

We've got lots of Clubs he hasn't visited.

Im with ya, see my post in the RIP Jesse White thread.....he would cost us nothing and I dont see the harm in trying him for a year. He's still got it, as shown with his 11 goals yesterday in the VFL.

He'd do well up there, could slink off to the gambling dens without anyone even noticing. Maybe we could get him a flat in the Cross, no temptation at all there............

I wouldn't mind him being at the swans, a target up forward who knows were to be and kicks goals. Would rather him than Jesse!!!!

The Fev can kick goals but as has been shown he needs to be able to contribute to the Club in other ways. And I'm happy for the club to take that stance. I'd love nothing more than for him to get his crap together, grow up and approach the game and life in a real positive, clear thinking manner. Just not sure it would happen with him. Not prepared for the Club to take the risk until he shows a little more. I still think he's a big kid who needs to babysat outside of Footy - maybe I'm wrong, I only see him through the public eye.

Besides that - do we need another ageing player in a key position? I'm happy to trade a younger forward with more years ahead of him but Fev would only have a few in him and then we would be searching again.

I would have considered him at the time he went to Brisbane, but now I'm not so sure. I doubt we'd go down the same path after what ended up happening with Bradshaw, and would be more likely to look at a younger forward to be in the team for the next 5-8 years (Mitch Clark, for example). I don't think our premiership window is wide enough yet to top up with Fev. I'd also like to see more time given to the players we already have - eg Johnston, TDL (when his foot's not sore). While on the topic, I truly think we should be shifting focus onto the future. Yes, we are to some degree, but maybe it's time to say thanks to Tadhg but it's time to move on (Sumner?). He's made crucial errors in a number of matches this year - maybe the game has passed him by.

yeah, i think it obviously would be more probable for the clubs future to take a young strong forward, however if fev came for a 1 year contract and bagged 60 or so goals I think its a job well done

Finished I reckon. Don't really see the point in getting him.

Not sure he wants to play interstate and be away from his family. If he did might be worth looking at over a pre season.

It's a no from me - he is past it and too much of a risk. Might be some PR value over the next year or two but that would be about all I could see him offering.

Won't surprise me of he bobs up in Sydney but more likely at GWS.

Don't think he matches up on Swans' personality policy. Pure dickhead based on past deeds.

In a perfect world where a LARS surgery of sorts could better carry options around his brain, he would have to be an OK short-term, stop gap measure as Sammy, TDL, Sumner, LJ, Spangher etc. blossom.
