Things went downhill from there, but it was a pleasure to watch Grubby at work pulling in old players from South, exchanging banter about games played 50 years ago; he really knows his stuff (and he was clearly cranky at the half-time break). He would make a great B&F compere, no slight intended to Adam Spencer. Also good to see Tony Morwood working the room and a new generation of Swans fans becoming part of the story.
The downside was that it was overpriced (no free drinks OK, but nearly $17 for a wine and a beer) and undercatered. I assume the club made a few bucks and that I don't begrudge.
