Great win which was built on hunger more than anything. We need to address our kicking for goal though because it could have easily cost us the game.

Could Gary Rohan be the brilliant midfielder we have been looking for. Sure he was fresh but his skills and kicking was so refreshing. In the last quarter I can't believe how far we kicked the ball. Players who struggle with distance just roosted it miles.

Game summed up the Swans at their best this season. Great work rate, great heart, enough brain fades to keep our doctors in business and, of course, lousy conversion. Surprised the Saints didn't give a bit more of a yelp. Sure they were efficient going forward but otherwise were reasonably poor.

Dan the Man is an absolute gem (in case anyone hadn't already worked that out). Sure hhis kicking has been letting him down at times but his workrate and courage are phenomenal.

That Mummy bloke ain't too bad either.

At least it was a win play like that next week and look out for the record again.
I think Dew may be the catering manager.

Personally I loved Rohans big marks in that last quarter.

Mummy was BOG by a mile, what a gun. Saw some good things from White and Jetta ( the formers marking and the latters imporved defensive skills) and was great to see Rohan back out there running around like a nut case. Good to win but nearly kicked ourselves out of it.

I suspect Hanners will be our best Brownlow poller. Most will go for Goodes but Hanners will be great punting value. His abilty to keep running and mark in the hole is amazing.

Typical swans win! Completely outplayed opposition but stuffed up enough and kicked shockingly to keep it close! Just once i would love for us to be like some of the other top 8 teams and bury a side when we control the game the way we did! A win is a win i guess but it's damn hard being a swans supporter! Now, do we rest players this week and prepare for the lions?

I cant remember before today when the last time was that we beat a side above us on the ladder at this end of the home and away season.

How about this time last year when we smashed the Dogs at the SCG.

Could have been. We were neck and neck with them, certainly.

I just love seeing Kleenex and Milne get smashed, well done Teddy Richards and Smoocher.

I just saw the other threads that had people wanted Jetta dropped. Huh? I thought he improved enormously today especially as mentioned above with some of his defensive marks.

Mummy was BoG by far but Richards, Shaw (apart from some wayward kicks a few times) were the big ones who controlled from the back. Plus not to mention Goodes, Jetta and Hanners lifting in that final quarter when we needed a push up the ground.

Rohan definitely made an impact when he came on, but I liked that he was the sub because being his first game back in the Seniors, it meant he could be eased again into the action (aka not play 4 quarters) but still make a hell of an impact.

If there was a player who seemed slow today IMO it was Mal and Benny Mc went missing a few times too (even though their stats indicated otherwise).

Definetly Milne, never ever liked him, cheered when he missed the goal late in the game. Oh the sheer pleasure of it.
