Still on a high and can't get the smile off my face.

      - Game proved beyond a doubt why I love my Mummy
      - Rhyce made some errors but jeez he was good
      - Yay Jesse White... see, you can play my friend. Onward and upward big fella.
      - Goodesy stood up when it mattered like a good captain just like his co-captain, well done Macca
      - Teddy Richards - what a fantastic effort on that saint player whose name escapes me at the moment.

Bugger it, kudos to all in a fantastic effort and well deserved victory. Sure some of our decision making needs work and our goal kicking is a "work in progress" but boo to that, nothing but positive vibes tonight. Now off to the fridge for another refreshment. Work tomorrow is going to be a dodgy prospect I reckon.

To be fair during the heat of the game a lot of crap gets written. There was one drongo who compared our footy smarts to a Cumquat. The mods will ban that idiot pretty soon.

True dat, Big A. Who would ever come up with that one? ;-)

That's what makes reading the game day thread AFTER I get home so much fun.

How much bether do we look when we kick LONG into our forward line!!!

God knows we aren't the quickest team - so it makes sense to bang it in fast and give our big blokes
A decent chance at a onexne contest

Jesse, Reidy, Goodesey, Mummy, Spang all made decent contributions upmforward.

Horse, please leave Benny in the fwd half as a crumbier and park him there.

Would love to see TDL crumbing to Jesse next week in the fwd line.

Jetta needs a rest. Despite a better effort - still stands off the contest at critical times
One area that was frustrating today was the number of opposition marks inside our 50
Fix this (& our kicking yipes) and we are a chance against anyone.

We have a great history at the cattery ( some classic wins in the past) time to re-write history boys.

No-one had a bad game today, but I particularly liked Mummy, Hanners, Ted, Jude, Goodes, Redi, McVeigh, AJ and Smooch. Red Rover was a great impact player and I think should get a full game next week.
This. Other than one - was Mal busy taking care of some secret men's business? I didn't really notice him other than notice I didn't notice him, if you get what I mean.

Plus, I like "Red Rover" - Red Rover, All Over. Nice.

Can't find the odds up yet. Given you can find Sydney at 81 to 1 and West Coast at 15 to 1, the odds of this are probably 250 to to 1.

NEWSFLASH: Sydney are 51 to 1 on some sites - looks like the odds are coming in - get on while you can.

I wouldn't ban him. I'd make him eat a bowl of cumquats!!!!

I was very impressed by the Spang man today. Had a very good game.

The other big hilite was Big Ted's touch of the Schneider goal attempt. That was outstanding.

I think all of the team played well today and it was great for the team to not only win at such a critical time but beat Roosey's old mate in the process.

Next week, we face another big gun after their bye so hopefully they play as badly as collingwood did when they fronted after their bye. If we play the way we did today then we might have a chance.

It would be monumental to beat them at home after 23 straight wins or so. That would be a premiership effort in itself.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

Haha - just before reading your post just now I did the ladder predictor and came out with the exact same result. 2 of us can't be wrong - it must be written in the stars!

I am happy with the win, but not particulary happy with our inaccuracy in front of the big sticks. But the effort was there all day today, and we were deserved winners, and really should have won by about 10 goals. This season might not in the end amount to much, but by gee there is a lot to like about a lot of our young guys.

Teddy - superb again, and if he played for a Melbourne based team he'd be right in there for AA honours. Riewoldt barely seen all day long.

Goodes - really took the game by the scruff of the neck when it was there to be won with a sensational last quarter, but especially over the first ten minutes. He is such a pleasure to watch, and I'd love to think we can make it to week 2 of the finals so that he gets to 300 this year (I will make the trip to wherever that is just to celebrate that fact). What a goal that was too - he really is a joy to behold.

Mummy - wow. Just everywhere today and he really is brutal when he plays like he did today.

Rohan - great little cameo and I'm glad to see him back.

Hanners - he has clearly been stamped with the CLASS factor. His disposal needs some work, but by gee I'll be suprised if he doesn't go very close to winning a Brownlow in his career.

McVeigh - I thought he had a fantastic game today off the HB line. Sounds like his young kid is still not too well, but he really put in a good effort today, kudos to him.
