No chance of being dropped on today's performance. He isn't setting the world on fire, but as mentioned above, things happen and if he has maintained his spot after last weeks dismal non performance against Richmond, he was 100x better today.

Happy to see him being given the subs vest though.

I think he has potential but is not worth his place in the side at the moment.. Guys like Rohan,
Nipper and Parker provide more at this stage.

I will defend him every time there is a thread like this, when he gets his stuff together and by that i mean he can defend aswell as get plenty of the ball, he will be one of our better players.

Can he learn the defensive side of being a great player in the ressies, i don't think so not with the crappy competition we get in our 2s. He was a fairly high draft pick and i think to not invest time in him would be a waste of the pick. He has the speed, he can kick, he can do some crazy things all that needs to happen now is he needs to learn to be more consistent and that will come with time.

p.s: i think some people read too much into what the commentators are saying about a player. They really rode him today.

I agree there is no chance he will be dropped - selection decisions will prove that. They will see that last week he had 6 touches - this week 9 !!! So they will consider it a massive step up.

Definitely has potential (agree) but has played 40 senior games now. The fact he keeps dishing up the same stuff week after week is bugging me. So many get 1 week to prove them selves or no chance at all.

His chasing and harassing was terrific all game he just wasn't getting the ball in the 1st half but seemed to make an impact in the 2nd. Like BBB would probably make a good sub next week.

He simply does not command a place in the lineup. His lack of possessions mean we are playing at least half a man short. If he cannot run and carry more than once or twice a game and he gives away goals in a low scoring side then he must be dropped and that's that. I really hope he succeeds in time but we cannot carry him at this end of the season.

Never has a player polarised the club's supporters like this - well not since Plugger, Goodsie, Bazza, Playfair or Cuz !

Can't tackle - easily brushed off, average kick, below average handballer, doesn't take any marks, quick.

Not sure why he is in the side?

You can't get a game because you are quick surely?

isn't this the point exactly. He needs to learn to kick and handball. These are the basics of the game AFL finals is not the time and place to learn.

he id not up to it. The pass to Sam Reid in the third quarter was a miskick and the ball drop was all wrong.

His handball in the Essendon game cost us significantly

Trade bait is his biggest worth

Quick, Great kick, good mark like the mark he took in the 4th.

Lacks confidence, misses handballs, needs work on defence, needs work on reading the game.

All four of his let downs will get better with experience can't wait to see him in 2-3 years and he will be dominant.

I can assure you the kid can kick and once he gets his confidence up, you just watch him go. Someone with that much speed and upside needs to be persisted with and be shown some patience. Thankfully our coaches know this.

He was absolutely abysmal in the first half but I thought he did significantly better in the 2nd half and did well in the key time in the final quarter. Still not convinced on exposed form he is in our first 22. He is the sort of player that in the longer term must persevere with, for hopefully one day it will just 'click' and when it does he will become the player that he should be.

But the point is - out of all of our 1/2/3 year players, who wouldn't prosper from getting consistent game time despite performance. I can understand senior players - with a proven track record - that we persevere with. To me he is not a senior player and has not showed consistency of form to warrant call up after call up. There are probably 5 or 6 other players who could dramatically improve shown the same faith.

Other players who possibly deserve the game time (and on face value I agree there are some who must feel hard done by) play a different role to Jetta. We have so many in and under type players coming through the ranks but Jetta offers the possibility/potential of something that the others don't and that the team needs badly. I believe this is why he is persevered with and I agree with the decision.

I am surprised this came up this week though, even in the first half when he couldn't get near the footy his pressure was good and there was positive signs of things to come.
