Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Absolutely devastated to read the news tonight. Having helped my best mate and his wife bury their nine-month-old daughter only last week, I can begin to understand just how Jarrad and Clementine and their family must be feeling right now.
It's something that words simply can't describe, and all their closest friends can really do is just be there for them whenever they need them.
Rest In Peace Luella, and deepest sympathies to the McVeigh family. My thoughts are with you.

Those of you that wish to participate in a show of sympathy with Jarrad, Clementine and families, please PM me privately and let me know what you wish to contribute. In times like these, there is often a request from the parents or family members not to spend money on flowers but to donate monies to an organisation like the Westmead Children's hospital or other. I will co-ordinate with Jenny tomorrow. Someone at the Swans is sure to know the wishes of the McVeigh family in this regard. I will endeavour to keep you all posted.

I'm absolutely shattered. My wife is staying at the hospital tonight with our newborn from this morning and I just got home to this news. Can't even begin to imagine the pain they must feel. Just the thought brings tears to my eyes every time.

How wonderful that you have a new member of your family, Cygnus. Life can be difficult, but it can also have fantastic events worth celebrating. Congratulations!

Cygnus, yes, it is sad ... devastating, but in so many ways, live goes on ... you have proven that this morning ... Congratulations to you and your wife, welcome to your little bundle of joy. Look after your little one - Times like these make you appreciate how fragile life is.

Kirkari - as you have gone and set it up, it's easy enough to just contribute to your flowers through BPAY. I'll PM you to seek details.

Congratulations to you and your wife/partner . Swans member yet? Get the priorities right.

I have to go back 7 and 10 years to remember when my kids were born. The first spent 5 days in ICU and that was bad enough but when I reflect on that time and to not have a happy outcome is just devastating.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.
