I'm with Go Swannies, putting in money for a communal RWO/'Swans fans in general' assortment would be great I think. I'll PM you Kirkari.

I'm in, when I return from the US on Monday I'll PM you.

I won't even pretend to imagine what the McVeighs are going through, I've never lost anyone that close to me (God forbid) but I can only say that it must be the worst feeling and my heart goes out to them and their family.

        RIP Luella McVeigh

          Jarrad and Clementine.

I know from my wife and my own experience what you are going through is major pain. I can`t help you with these words. But please believe me when I say that life DOES go on and I know you and your beautiful wife WILL produce great kids. God works in mysterious ways. Our first angel was swept up by Gods wings but now we have 3 great kids and we wouldn`t change them for anything.

Our prayers are with you both.

Just makes you realise how precious life is.
We've been lucky enough to have 3 relatively healthy babies, who are all grown up now.

Best wishes for the McVeighs. I can't imagine what they are going through ATM.

                Hi Everyone,

On behalf of the Club, thank you all for your condolences and support for the McVeigh family.
The number of messages we have received since yesterday afternoon has been truly overwhelming.

It is in moments like these that you realise that the Swans are a family.

At this stage, I am yet to hear if Jarrad and Clementine have nominated a charity to receive donations in Luella's memory.
I will keep you all updated in this forum and will communicate any further news to Frog.

                Jenny

Further to my above post, we are collating the messages we receive at [email protected] to pass on to the McVeigh family.
If you'd like to send in your message of support, we'll make sure it is passed on.

                    Thanks all,
                    Jenny

Thanks Jenny - I'm guessing that a lot of us have already done this. I think a lot of us have been very distracted from our normal lives last night and today as we keep coming back to think of our club's very real tragedy.

Frog - when do you expect you will you PM payment details?

I only have Internet access via my phone at the moment, but will be home in a couple of hours. I will then try and touch base with Jenny and set something up in line with Jarrad and Clementine's wishes

As a Mum myself, I thank God that I have 2 healthy boys and cannot begin the imagine the loss the McVeigh family is feeling right now.

Hopefully, our messages of support and condolences will bring them and their extended families some comfort and reassure them that we are all one big red and white family, no matter what corner of the globe we are in.

RIP baby girl and may your strength that you showed in your fight for life, will be passed on to your wonderfully brave parents. xxx

I might have a slight drinking problem. My husband asked me to toast some bread for him...so I raised my wine glass and said "Here's to bread!"

To those that have sent me PM's so far. I am attempting to organise this according to the wishes of Jarrad and Clementine. I do not want to collect the monies myself, but have somewhere it can go to. That could be a BPAY type setup at a hospital or charity. Please bear with us as we are trying to get an answer from those closer to Jarrad and Clementine than we are (thanks Jenny). The flowers organised by Kirkari will be taken care of by herself and RWO. The flowers will be a mark of respect and support from all members of our RWO community.

The amount of responses we have received has been overwhelming. Too many to personally thank at this stage. So I thank you all herewith. I am sure Jarrad and Clementine will hear and feel the love and support from all parts of the Sydney Swans, including RWO members.
