    Why is there an argument?
Exactly. A complete over-reaction from Baz, it's sad he's chosen to hold this grudge. Although for someone so adamant that things should be thrashed out face-to-face, it's interesting he's let it go on 2 years, and then raised it publicly in trying to sell a book. You'd think that if Baz made contact with Roos at any point over that time, Roosy probably would have admitted his regret that he didn't handle it perfectly, and the air could have been cleared.

I don't really blame Roos much anyway - I'm sure by that Sunday/Monday he'd basically written Hall off as a soon-to-be ex-Swans player and (anger aside) just didn't want to hear that Baz was sorry it happened, blah blah blah (which he would have heard many times before). Baz admits himself that he thought he was going to be sacked, so I don't get why he wouldn't see that everyone had had enough and didn't really have anything more to say to him. That includes the players, who Baz also seems to feel abandoned him.

I still hate bosses from a decade ago, so I get his disapointment. It's not unusual to hold grudges, but I do hope he reflects in retirement and returns to become a Swans man for life.

Just as Bradshaw should be a Lions man for life.

Their greatest memories and legacies are there, they both deserve to have a great life long relationship with the respective clubs.

Can't wait to read Hally's book. Should be a ripper.

This bit annoyed me. too! I remember vision from the dressing rooms at half time the night Hall whacked Staker. Roosy was right in Hall's face, berating him and BBB looked like a little kid being told off by his dad! The "gutless" accusation is way out of line!

I thought they looked pretty calm in the rooms at half time. Hall looked sick because he had massively stuffed up but I thought Roos looked surprisingly cool at the time.

Somewhere in that article it somehow got missed that he also got 5 weeks for eye gouging, and that when he got rubbed out for the Staker incident he was sent off on a club sanctioned sabatical to Fiji with his fit squeeze at the time. Now who was it that paraded himself in front of the public with the Green punching bag to get a little publicity, I think, and I stand corrected, around the time new contracts were being talked about.

After all his indescretions Roos was merely saying; stuff you I've had enough. Roos did the smart leadership thing (45 other splayers to think about) by not being drawn into any heated discussions, and who knows what someone who had a habit at throwing cut lunches randomly might do in a one on one confrontation. It was interesting to see that not one other Swans player contacted him in the days after. Any chance that any atom of respect the players may have had for him had evaporated.

If he's lucky, in 20 years, if it's still on the shelf, I'll borrow the book from a library.

The Pareto Principle states that 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes. ie In business 80% of sales come from 20% of the clients.

In this case 98% of the effects came from 2% of the causes. Roos, being the good man manager and businessman, used some skilled business and leadership tactics to squeeze out the 2% that was causing the problems and the other 98% followed his lead. I have no doubt Roos did what he had to do and his calculated actions at the time would have been discussed at least with Ireland and Colless. He is likely to also have discussed the issue with the player leadership group to get their thoughts. No way he was going to go off half cocked and deal with the situation himself. I seem to remember Hall was not happy with Brett Kirk at the time. Clearly there are club procedures to deal with player issues. For Hall to think he should have called him back as good as straight away shows how carried away he clearly was with his own importance, and completely lacked understanding of the position he was in.

Exactly. The media keep trotting out the same stories based on a tiny passage from the book. For all we know, the rest of the book could be dedicated to his own wrongdoings. He could spend 5 chapters praising Roos and the Swans.

Hall has written ONE negative thing about Roos. ONE. Think about it for a second. ONE. Every single one of the countless articles we've read about Hall and Roos' rift, every single "quote" from Hall, they've all come from ONE passage. People seem to think Hall is beating this drum. Hall has written the one book, it is the media which keep bringing it up as if every article they write reflects a new dig.
