An amazing player, who in his prime was the one who straightened us up and gave us all our run out of defence. Not physically strong but incredibly gutsy and clearly a talent. My enduring memories of him are the run, blind turn and goal against Brisbane, the goal he slotted in the 05 Grand Final, and the interview of him after the win in the 05 Prelim..."unbelievable, just absolutely unbeleivable" said in that beautiful irish lilt.

Thanks for everything Tadhg. Its been a pleasure watching your fantastic career unfold.

Over the hill at 29, jeez it's a tough game these days.

I think it's the right time, but really wish it was not. One of my favourites, few sights more exciting than Tadhg in his prime, dashing out of full-back, straight up the middle of the ground.

All the best to him in his future endeavours.

I still remember him being interviewed by Matthew Nicks at Club Swans about his defensive game and he said, when asked, he just played badly enough that Roos stopped him tagging. Nicks replied - if I try that I'm playing in the 2s next week!

Now just five Premiership players left at the club: Goodes, Jude, ROK, LRT and Bevan

How about 2013 (they need a bit of a break) Paul & Tami spend some time with her family in the States and Tadhg returns to his family in Ireland, to become recruiting scouts for the Swans?

Oh, and if you haven't got his book yet, go buy it!

So many great moments watching him grow and turn into a player and lose his hair. Just a great fun bloke and a seriously talented sportsman. A blood forever.
Will miss him terribly particularly at fan functions as there isn't anyone funnier.
From pantsing Lewie in front of the girls to his jig it's all been memorable.
I still watch his goal against the Lions in 2005 at ANZ - one of my all time favourites. Going to be a lot of tears at the B&F this year.

Great player, glad he decided to retire now.

Best memories is not kicking a goal, but in the 2005 GF.

Only seven minutes left, one point up, eagles attacking, deep in defence ( Got out the CD just to make sure)

Gathers the ball, chances his arm, beats the WC player, handballs, then keeps running and get the ball again, the groan of delight from the commentors amazing!

Never hear that before or since. That was his best moment; to be remembered and treasured for ever, thanks Tadgh!

Thanks for the memories Tadgh, Had a huge impact in our premiership year.

Bit OT but was that Byron Sumner sitting on the left hand side as the camera panned the players?

                        Absolute Champ!

It will be interesting to see where his career goes from here. He could be/do anything.

                        Congrats on an excellent career.

Well done on an amazing and fantastic career at the Swans Tadhg!! Gonna miss those amazing runs from half back and seeing people spell your name incorrectly.

Another big moment from Tadhg in the 2005 was when he defused a huge situation just before Leo Barry's mark when Banfield kicked it into the forward line and as the ball came off the pack contest it trickled goal side. It was out of i believe Staker and Tahdg to see who would pounce on the loose ball but thankfully Tadhg was first to it to rush a behind.

That could have been the ball game then and there and our drought would still be going.

                                Thanks for the memories!!
Good solid player in his heyday
This is a gross underestimation. For several years there he was about the only player we had who was prepared to take a chance and back himself in, and time and again he was the one who provided the attacking spark that got us going in a late surge to victory.

Like Ugg and Lucky Knickers, that Round 20 2005 goal against the Lions still sticks in my memory. As Dwayne Russell said, that's as good as it gets. By anyone's standards, he had a magnificent career. For someone who came to the game so late, he was miraculous. Thanks Tiger.
My opinion is objective truth in its purest form
