And why shouldnt he have got the gig - he had more practise blowing the whistle than any other umpire this year?

I wanted to write a comment on the blog along the lines of "who gives a @@@@" - but I dont think they would have published it. Ray is trying to be the Greg Hartley of the AFL - a serial pest if you will. Oh well he will try even harder next year to be noticed.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Not sad and will probably continue his antics next year.

This guy would go well umpiring Bunnadoon thirds. I thinks the cows up there would appreciate the spectacle and the break from the constant silence.

Never in contention, vertically challenged ... as hard as he tries, he cant bounce the ball high enough (seems high to him)!

Which is a shame, because I would have loved to have seen what Eddie would have done had he somehow influenced a Cat's victory with his "flamboyance"!

I won't be happy until he no longer has anything to do with the AFL.

Good news folks, he's out for the rest of the season.

Knee injury ends umpire Ray Chamberlain's year - AFL.com.au

Our odds of a GF victory have just shortened.

Pies, Freo and Cats all losing, great Swans victory and now the wonderful news of us not having to put up with Razor Ray again this year - it truly was a wonderful, wonderful weekend!

Anyone remember how we deplored Darren Goldspink ? Anybody remember we played four games in the 2005 finals - and the only one we lost was when Goldy was NOT umpiring ?
