    Pleasant Surprise

Near the end of One Week At A Time last night, Robbie Walls did his Heroes and Villains segment. His heroes this week were the Swans, and he's tipping us against Hawthorn! Then their guest Harry O'Brien chimed in, said he is a great admirer of the Swans and loves the Bloods culture we have fostered, and he's tipping us too. On Melbourne TV - I was shocked!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

BTW: dimelb, as nice as it is that he tipped us, I much prefer to be the underdog.

So do I, but it will be a hard act to pull off this week, unfortunately.

Can't stand him, just @@@@s me no end.

He's portrayed as a nice genuine guy off the field, championing causes etc and he may well be that nice guy. A bit like Kirky and Goodes are for us.

But on the field, he comes across as anything but the nice guy, niggling and throwing little punches in at every opportunity, not to mention the lurking around the man on the mark before rushing into shepherd and block illegally multiple times a game.

There was an article in the paper a few weeks ago, I think from Todd Balym that really pissed me off, where both the journo and Harry labelled people who don't like Harry as haters, suggesting it was racially motivated.

I'm a Harry hater for sure, but can guarantee it has zero to do with the colour of his skin or background, but 100% to do with I just don't like the way he goes about his business on the footy field compounded by the off-field holier than thou attitude.

I hate it when people stoop to the "You don't like me you must be racist". I would actually plead the opposite, "You are playing the race card against me because YOU (read the accuser, not you Triple B) are racist".

Just on the media did anyone hear Gerard Healy last night quiz Roosy on Jesse White's fitness? Gerard said they didn't have much time to talk about it and they were going to run a clip of some sort but time didn't permit. Roosy didn't say much but did stand up for him. It cut back to Healy and he said something along the lines of 'Well I just don't think he is as fit as he should be'. Something like that anyway. Would have been interesting to hear them talk further at length about it.

It's a worry if Walls thinks we're going to win.

Walls' Keys to the Game: Give Sam Reid a run in the ruck.

I am only happy if Rockin Ronnie tips us and Gilbert is against us.

As for H. Happy to have him on board. Gentleman. But he is a Colliwobble, and that is that. So Ultimately I am agin him.

There are a lot of RWO'ers that give White a hard time, but Healy is King amongst the haters.

I suspect it's because he thinks he should be alot better than he is, not because he thinks there's no talent there.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

They've been my barometer this year Prims. Ronnie says yes, Gilly says no ... we win!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Healy has not come across to me in this manner. Maybe he is harsh with his comments about White, but that could be that he is disappointed with his output due to the potential he obviously has. I have felt this frustration with White as I feel that he can become a real game breaker, but I have been really impressed with his recent efforts. I suppose that we tend to overlook the fact that in footy years he is still young and is developing work in progress.
