Even across the darkest days of this club, the benefits recieved wouldn't come close to the 10m that the Roos will recieve next year.

18 teams isn't enough. A few more and we can have an even fixture.

Plus if we get a few more Canberra might get one and I can have more footy here.

Well they aren't getting 10 million next year, and I reckon if you added it up Sydney would've received that much in funding. As recently as 02 we we're nearly gornn yeah? Honestly there is a lot of hate/negativity towards the middle class teams on here. I don't understand it. I like all the teams, when they play good football, can't we just enjoy that?

Yes, Sydney had much spent on it in the past, BUT, the Sydney experiment had to be successful. Having a team in Australias largest city had to be successful for the AFL to be the only truly national football code. Having 9 teams in one city in that same code is just ludicrous. I believe that is why so many of us dislike the North Melbournes, Western Bulldogs, Richmonds etc of the comp. They can't be financially successful in such a crowded market place.

As much as I think some of them should relocated interstate, I also think it would be an interesting idea to see if we could have a couple of more regional teams in Victoria, ie. Ballarat and Bendigo. If they doin't want to move interstate, then regional relocation could be the answer. Living in Geelong, I can now see first hand how the locals will get behind a team that is theirs!

It's quite fair to suggest sending the Roos to them
That actually is quite amusing coming from a Swans supporter!

There's > 4 million people in this city now, I think we can handle a few AFL teams.
