Yep it was Huddo under the old TV Rights where 10 had all the finals. He also uttered the famous line of "Nick Davis is the hope, will he be the hero" line.

Before they went to the first ad break after we had won, he said "Who would be a Geelong fan?" hahah Poor bugga. The one thing I love about Huddo (although he is by no means a favourite commentator) is that you never would guess who he goes for by his commentary.

Little did he know he was about to enjoy one of the great eras of Australian Football with his club!

What's a video?????[/B][/B] I have a box full in the garage now and eventually will get thrown out.
Ha Ha. Yes I know. Had them squirrelled away to keep forever! Also threw out a special called "Shake down the thunder". Not happy. Should have got them onto DVD earlier. I did have the sense to buy the Granny DVD but will get onto the series. Thanks.

it was a cracking game - and the right team won it. Geelong were class all the way.

Channel 10 were too busy promoting their new shows, and the fact they only showed only the last two cars going around with the retired players was just wrong. If they were so hell bent on getting their advertising in - then why not get it over and done with during the half time break. I was listening to the ABC call - which naturally is about 3 seconds ahead of the 10 broadcast, but at least when the final siren went you got a sense of what was going on, because channel 10 had to gone to yet another commercial break. thank god they aren't on it next year.

As for Mr Loaf, I'm a fan of the meatman. I have fond memories of one of only 6 songs that worked at the Family hotel Tamworths jukebox - and that was "Paradise by the dash board light" - but he didnt mumble that one did he - but I think his performing days live are numbered. When they announced that he may not perform because of the rain, I thought fair enough it makes sense, its pretty nasty weather, water, electricity & old people generally dont go well together etc. I never thought that he would have come out there plastered. But when he started singing the right song to perhaps the wrong tune and out of tune, I thought - Geez its shame the rain stopped. But as Al said the girl back up singer was good, and the band not bad either, shame about the main act. I dont know who they should get to do the pre match, and they were so lucky with Lionel Ritchie for the replay last year - he did get the crowd up on their feet. Kelly Clarkson did pretty well at the league yesterday I believe (didnt see it)

But thankfully the performance of Mr Loaf was quickly fogetten by what was a fantastic game of footy. it had everything. And I cant remember for the life of me who the umps were, so thats a good thing (which means that no one missed Razor Ray!) Gotta love Lingy, he broke his nose, but still had a smile from ear to ear - Tomahawk finally stood up, and you have to feel for Pods. Kind felt a bit for Mick Malthouse, but with Buckley being head boy next year, life would not be all beer & Skittles. So its over for another year - still have the B & F next friday night - so can drag out the footy season for another week.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................
Chickens drink - but they don't pee!
