To me, the BIG difference between us and the top teams is kicking ...we don't seem to have the kicking skills of the others, do we need a new kicking coach?

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the difference in this case between fitness and endurance?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Well, I cannot remember a season where we have been CONSISTENT the whole way through. I think this by far is our biggest issue, I simply cant work out how you can lose to richmond, adelaide and freo at home and then get within a kick of collingwood and knock over geelong in geelong??? It no doubt cost us a top 4 spot this year or at least be knocking on the door of it.

You can be muscularly fit and strong but it's whether or not your body has the ability to keep repeating what you can do without falling over gasping for air (like Vez). Fitness involves a few things - Muscular strength, stamina which is endurance as well as things like how well you body stretches, bends etc.

So he probably is just saying that Jesse looks like an athlete, he looks muscularly fit and he is agile but all the exercises he does to put his body in that shape he can't do over an extended period of time.

Refer below to answer...........................There would be a physiological answer in the difference between the muscle fibres and how they act. However, I'll leave you with the research as I don't have the time. It's like comparing someone that runs 100 - 400 metre races to someone who runs marathons.

Its the same when people confuse fitness and health. Someone can be very fit yet be extremely unhealthy and someone can be unfit yet be extremely healthy.

Except for being overweight, every measure of health for me is very good (Blood Pressure,Cholesterol, Glucose etc etc) but I couldn't run out of sight on a dark night. So you could say I'm in this category somewhat.

(I am trying to go to the Gym and eat better but it's bloody hard work)
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Big Al, it's the Great Vegetable Gods punishing you for not praying at their alter and eating your vegies !

I'm starting mine this week and determined to reach my goal. Helps keeps your mind off the non footy season.

Here, here! As I wrote in another post, if the Swans' kicking status had been near the top of the ladder rather than at the bottom, they would have come 4th rather than 7th. Fitness-very important, as per usual. But surely goal kicking has to be looked at very closely in the months ahead.

If you ask me (and let's face it, nobody is), the difference between Hawkins and White is that Hawkins can mark above his head. I cant remember the last time I saw White do that.

I'm one of those who sees 50% less fat on the label and immediately think that means I can have 2.
