We 'stole' Spangher from Hawthorn and TDL from Freo when they were doing pre-season training with those respective teams so it's not without precedence although I will admit that 2 knee reconstructions would put off most suitors.
With all due respect to Campbell, if he ain't getting re-drafted by the Swans he ain't getting drafted. Lets look at his career to date:
A late pick who wasn't highly rated prior to the draft, has since done his knee twice, played 2 forgettable games at senior level during his 3 years on the list, hasn't dominated when he has made it on to the park at reserves level, and is a utility who hasn't got a specific position that he has made his own.
I'm sure his agent's phone is probably melting as a result of the calls he is receiving from the other 17 clubs

Hmmm - why are we re-drafting him again??
While I agree that is is unlikely that other clubs will be beating down his door, you are selling his reserves form short. His problem has been stringing games together. It hasn't just been the knee injuries that have halted his progress. He has had a series of other issues, possibly related to the work he has had to do to recuperate from the knee injuries.
But when he has made it out onto the park, he has shown himself to be a hardworking tallish defender who can play one on one, direct traffic in the backline, provide rebound from defence, and also push into the midfield to play on a wing. It is evident from his physique that he works incredibly hard on his conditioning. I don't recall ever seeing another teenage footballer who was as "cut" as Heath was in his first season up in Sydney (and that was despite spending the previous season recovering from his first knee injury).
Both physically and in the way he plays, there are lots of similarities to the young Craig Bolton who arrived at the Swans as a flanker cum undersized defender. It is obviously drawing a long bow to suggest he will develop exactly the way Bolton did, but it is easy to understand why the club would rate his potential as a senior footballer (which was hinted at by the fact he even got two senior games so early in his career).
If he doesn't make it in the longer term, I suspect it will be injury rather than attitude or ability that prove to be his downfall.
Fair call Liz, I might have been a bit harsh on Campbell in making my point.
Those of us who live down south don't get much of an opportunity to see what goes on at reserves level and rely on reports from posters such as yourself for updates
Sydney recruit Mitch Morton has been forced to sit out the Swans' first AFL pre-season hit-out due to a leg infection picked up during an overseas boot camp.
He might just be that type of athlete who's never going to dominate endurance type excercises. Having said that it doesn't fill the heart with confidence about him becoming the hard working consistent player he should be. On the subject of Jetta.....
Does anyone think a change of roles might help Jetts next year ? He gets lost on the wing. Really lost. Maybe permanent crumbing forward or rebounding defender ( yes, i know what your thinking), anything that might make things a bit simpler for him on the field. I'll be shattered if this guy doesn't turn into the player he could be. Probably the wrong thread to start this discussion but, hey, its the off season and im bored.

I have to say, when I think of a role for Jetta it doesn't include snapping many goals, but we don't have many small crumbing options so giving him a trial run in that position couldn't hurt.
What happened to him after he finished 2010 so positively?

2nd years blues, new father, lack of sleep? confidence levels etc mixture of all?
Interesting. jetta last is the most disappointing 3rd pre-season gota be quicker than that.
For a speedster like Jetta the placing in an endurance race is irrelevant. His time should be compared to his own time from last year and the time deemed to be acceptable by the fitness staff.

..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Yep, the biggest comparison is with his own time at the start of the last preseason.
The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible news
