Good post Bas - it's nice to see that various points of view can be aired on this forum without getting personal or vindictive. The whole GWS issue is one where there are various points of view along the spectrum of being great for the game at one end, to it being potentially harmful at the other. I sit at that other end of the spectrum but I enjoy hearing the various points of view on the matter - I certainly hope I'm proved wrong on my opionion of this one, and only time will tell.

It's funny - I asked the head of Finance here at work once whether he would approve a business case that wouldn't pay off for potentially 20-25 years. He laughed. It's a big risk that the AFL are taking on this one, granted for a big reward. I do hope it works.... and yes I will watch GWS with great interest over the next few years to see how they fare...

Canberra Giants to relocate to their natural home within 5 years.

Their members are all there, and all they have to do is play 3 more game as Manuka. Good riddance.
