Amazed but excited that Gazza is in!! Still won't be surprised if he's a last minute withdrawal but would love to see him get his goal count up and running early.

There's a bit of young talent on that bench. Hope Everitt starts forward not back. I don't like the fact our forward line is less settled that it was last year. We won't be getting anywhere top 4 for with that Forward line. Unless LRT kicks a handy 40 goals...

As teams are now announced via the unimpeachable source of Ch 7, does that mean the placings are accurate? Everitt at HB? Surely Rooster or McVeigh.

So we have 23 players and GWS only 2 emgs? That 99.5 start is looking pretty good right now

But seriously I don't get GWS's team. With so many of their experienced players out I would have thought they would want as many of the rest to be in the team. Their Sam Reid and while Clifton may not have played AFL he is mature aged with a mature body and is a VFL B&F winner. Dylan Shiel as talented as he is, is severely underdone

Never take the positions that the players are named in on Thursday nights seriously.

All apart from about 4 or 5 of our players (probably AJ, Ted, Reg, Mattner, Reid) will play in more than 2 positions come Saturday night, so the positions are meaningless on that team sheet. Always will be.
