Brian 'Dukes' Taylor had me almost wishing it was Cometti and his sycopantic little mate. I thought that must have been channel 7's strategy - let us listen to Taylor so that we will be more grateful for Cometti. I watched the game on the night and picked up a lot of BT's miscalled names but only picked up 'Gary Jack' when I watched again last night. What sort of a mistake is that? I mean, BT wouldnt even know who Gary is, would he? I'm thinking of calling him Elizabeth Taylor from now on.

I saw the second half, and it might be a little biased, but I spent it watching Josh 'Bondi' Cass (#56), and I couldn't have been much happier with how he went.
As Pekay said, he won the Nor-West Jets' senior best and fairest last season at the age of 17 and was runner up the year before in his first year of senior footy at 16.
While he didn't get a lot of the footy in the third quarter, he ran hard and put himself in all the right positions, and it paid off in the last quarter with his two goals and he set up a couple of others with solid bumps.
He's another one who the Giants have let go - he played in their Academy team at the State championships in January and did well by all reports, but they decided not to keep any 18 year olds on that list.
The senior-listed players seemed happy with his contribution judging by how they went to him at each break, and considering he spent all but six minutes of the second half on the ground, it seems the coaches were satisfied as well.
Hopefully it gets him a few more chances and he can keep impressing, because I reckon he's a good player and he's certainly worked his arse off to get this far.
