I'd like to send a shout out to the Rooster. Just watched a replay, and gawd he worked, even though he was falling apart.
As for BT et al's commentary......LEARN THEIR NAMES YOU SILLY PRATS.
NO LEROY JETTA HIS NAME IS LEWIS, SMITH DID NOT KICK 2 GOALS THAT WAS CRAIG BIRD, YOU KNOW NUMBER 14, NOT NUMBER 40!!, REG WEARS 39, NOT 29+39, THEY ARE NOT ALL HARDENED AFL PLAYERS, FIVE OF OUR BLOKES ARE ONLY 18 TO 20 YEARS,
AAAGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHIf you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

A game where Sydney were rarely out of Third gear, and when they did they slammed on quick goals and kept GWS scoreless for a quarter.
A couple of observations HTB continues to be a lottery as to what will and won't be called, and the kicking yips have returned late in the game, after a decent enough start accuracy wise.

Quite correct Xie Shan, and you weren't being picky. So it's the Swans equal fifth greatest Round 1 win. Celebration!
Therefore, the only other time the Swans won their first season game by 63 points was in 2005. And how did they go in that particular season for their last game?Last edited by top40; 25 March 2012, 06:29 PM.Comment

Whilst not the greatest margin, the keeping of GWS to 37 points means the % is a healthy 270%. Not bad!Comment

Overall, wasn't the greatest performance I have seen from us but the boys will improve.
Have to say some of our fans in the Cheer Squad took the sportsmanship bit way too far.
I sat about 10 metres away from the Cheer Squad and one lady got up and cheered when GWS kicked their first goal.
To me, I find that absolutely unacceptable.
There is no way on earth I'd ever cheer for the other team even if having that team would help football in our city.
As the game wore on, it made me dislike GWS even more.
The umpires had orange & charcoal glasses on all night.
You can tell that the Giants are a Kevin Sheedy coached side as they reminded me of the dirty Bombers sides of the early 90's.
Made me realise why I hated Essendon as much as I did throughout the 90's.
Now I hope the charity our fans gave GW$ has ended after Saturday night.Comment

I don't have a problem with people celebrating other teams achievements.
I quite often clap when the opposition does something spectacular. I enjoy the game.
I will then groan and grumble if it is to our detriment though.
I didn't really see the umpires as having an overly biased night.
There were decisions that went both ways, and ones that didn't.
Yes, GWS were hard at it, but again, it was their first game, they were fresh, fit and firing to go.
They wanted to make a statement and an impact, and that they did. They made the swans earn every point. and went down fighting hard.
I'm sure any coach would have wanted that from their team.Comment
