The umpiring has been dissapointing, but what has been more dissapointing is the lethargic look of the swans.
Back line kicks have been horrible, forward entries are a kick aimed somewhere in the 50.
The lack of atmosphere from the coverage of the game is also making it seem lackluster, worst background mics ever.
It is just silent pretty much and judging by how many people are at the game i am judging that there would be quite a lot happening.Comment

Yeah I don't want to gloss over our own marked deficiencies but seriously they're hanging all over our players, but as soon as we get a little physical BAM free kick.
Hope Gaz is okay and isn't Parker a tough nut.
Our game is very stagnant at this stage. Not a lot of bodies in motion, working towards space ect. Our skills have been pretty woeful too and the ground seems really heavy - not very good at all. We seem to be in first gear. It will be interesting to see if we are much more expansive in the next term.Comment

I normally pay mild attention to the commentators but jeez Taylor got a lot wrong in that qtr.
You'd reckon that your first game at the station and the first game of the year, that you would at least have the Swans players squared away. I mean, Bird has played 60+ and, FFS - Mattner has played 190+ and is a left footer!
Anyway, I was not too impressed with that but I expect things to get better. The kicking in the backline was very poor.
Why oh Why does this ground always look @@@@ and play @@@@ - see Jetta's bounce?
Parker killing 'em even though he was crunched.Comment

Don't agree. Their back line is playing well and close. Our forwards are static and the delivery awful.
Malceski hasn't improved one bit. Kicking is disgraceful. We seem to be getting first hands on it at centre bounces but they continually want to handball off when they get it. Parker should just do work himself and get it forward.Comment

Imagine the shots at goal Reid would get if we could deliver to our forward line with any semblance of precision.Comment
