If you are supporting the team against ****ingwood all is ok, as much passion and yelling as you feel appropriate.
If you find yourself yelling and supporting ****ingwood them I recommend a lie down until the feeling passes

I would say that if you AREN'T cheering on the team that's belting Collingwood (or even narrowly leading) there would be something wrong with you.

        Some quick comments.
I too cringed at BT's comments.
If you like footy so much that 4 games isn't enough then I suggest you lash out and by Fox.
If your back channel isn't as good as the main channel then I'd check your aerial.
I too noticed the lack of quality from some cameras. I noticed this on Fox previously.
Co-incidence or are they using some Fox gear?

Did you know that the ratings are up from 3.1 million last year to 5.3 million this year openning round!!

        .
        give it to the game

Good point. OK, its kind of a case of "I don't care whose playing as long as they beat Collingwood". Happy with that.

And for the other statement, why don't I buy Foxtel? Because A) unless I sell my unit and move, there is no foxtel access where I live. and B) I cannot afford it anyway. Some of us can't, should make a note of that for future reference.

I have Foxtel via T-box most people
Can get all games cost $40 a month. Can cancel the service as soon as the season ends. Not too much more if you already have BB
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

I feel for those who would like to access Foxtel and can't because of situations like Primmy's. For others though, it's a choice thing. Fox aren't keeping games off FTA television. Prior to Fox, there were no more games on FTA than there are now. In many cases there were fewer.

Another NSWer who was in seventh heaven in round one!
On crutches at the moment, the perfect excuse for lying on the lounge watching every game. I have to acknowledge, though, that this nirvana has only occured because of the new digital channels. The ordinary channel 7 now does not show any footy - it is only on 7mate.
The biggest downside of all this was that ch 10 coverage was superior in quality. Ch 7 camera angles are too distant and at the wrong angle and the ch 10 commentators were more interesting.

Too many angle changes!!! Stick it on the wide angle centre wing camera, and LEAVE it there!! Too many close ups mean you can't "look upfield". I'm really not that interested in the guy kicking the ball, I want to see where he is kicking it to!!! And the current trend of swapping to an entirely different angle is just rotten - does my head in. Save the different angles for replays IMO.

AND GIVE FOXTEL A PROPER HD FEED!!!!

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

You are right about the angles, Des. It makes it so hard to take in what is going on. It reminds me of my pet hate of cricket dismissals being shown as a highlight from square leg, etc so you cant see what the ball does, etc. I think it is all in the name of 'art'.
