Somehow I don't think we helped Jewels at all in this thread.
    Now I'm confused - wouldn't that mean our percentage is 78.5% i.e. 3.14 x 0.4 x 100?????

        Me too Yuri

Thank you all for the explainations. Still doesn't quite make sense to me as I am extremely mathematically challenged, but at least I have a nodding aquaintance with the formula now!

Now I'm going to have to backtrack and apply it to all the previous formulae. Does that mean it is apply pi?

No wonder AFL players do circle work at training. It clearly increases their %.

In some strange universe this actually makes surreal sense.

Go to the coffee cart on Saturday and say "May I have a large container of coffee" and you may get pi to 7 decimal places....

You'll also miss most of the 3rd quarter. I cannot believe how long some of our supporters are prepared to stand there to get a cup of coffee. I'm sure we could work up a formula for coffee desperation v missing the footy incorporating the time spent waiting and the quality of both the coffee and the game (and possibly the scoreline) that involves pi.
