    2012 AFL Top 10

    Hi all,
A little bit of a new look this year.
You'll see four different tables every week.
The first will be the weekly scores for each team.
The second is a new list which records best listings from five different media sources.
The third is the usual Top 10, recording the 2012 rankings
The fourth is another new list, an overall 12-month rank, which will work like the tennis rankings, with players defending their ranks from the same round last year. See the rules on each list for more information.
Please give me your feedback, good or bad. I can take it, and will try to explain it if need be.

It's a bit late, but here we go with round one.

          2012 All Named Top 10 Round 5

Points are recorded from the best player lists from five different media sources ? the AFL website, The Age (Fairfax) , Sportal, Dream Team and Super Coach lists The Herald Sun (News Ltd) and Fox Sports no longer name best players, and have been officially replaced. If any outlet is missing best players, they will be taken from bigfootynews.com.au. If named best in each media outlet, a player can potentially score 50 points per week. It doesn?t take results into account.

                2012 All Named Top 10 Round 8

Points are recorded from the best player lists from five different media sources ? the AFL website, The Age (Fairfax), Sportal, Dream Team and Super Coach lists. The Herald Sun (News Ltd) no longer names best players, and has been officially replaced. If any outlet is missing best players, they will be taken from bigfootynews.com.au. If named best in each media outlet, a player can potentially score 50 points per week. It doesn?t take results into account.

                      2012 All Named Top 10 Round 9

Points are recorded from the best player lists from five different media sources ? the AFL website, The Age (Fairfax), Sportal, Dream Team and Super Coach lists. The Herald Sun (News Ltd) no longer names best players, and has been officially replaced. If any outlet is missing best players, they will be taken from bigfootynews.com.au. If named best in each media outlet, a player can potentially score 50 points per week. It doesn?t take results into account.

In the first grouping, I reckon the order of Swans players is about right for the first half of the season.
                            Nice work, BMR

I'm also now working on rankings for each club based on results, which I hope to have up and running within the next week.
There will be ladders taking into account Head To Head results (home and away against every opponent), the last 12 months (corresponding round last year), the last five years and the last 10 years.
I challenge you all to have a stab at where you think the Swans will be ranked in each of those four ladders. I'm less than a quarter of the way through, but I'm guessing we will fare quite well in all of them.
