They are quick in the mids, small backs and small forwards and very dangerous. For instance Wells would normally be taken by Smithy and this week Shaw will take him but will he be able to run the game out on someone like Wells who will run him around.

The go looks like we will miss smithy (definite), Goodsie (maybe) and Kieren (maybe).

I would be inclined to bring in TDL and Armstrong anyway. ROK to have a 2's game as he is way off the pace, he may have kicked two goals but struggled to chase. I would also be inclined to let Shawie get some form in the 2's because 11 and 10 are just not his normal thing. In the game against Port he may have been playing a defensive role because of Smithy but against Freo you can't blame that. What is more Smithy seems to manage to get plenty in his role. Shawie normally does too so I would suggest two underdone players is not a good look as North are in top form.
Firstly, Shaw took Hill out of the game last week, and built on that again this week. He only missed 1 or 2 weeks, he's not underdone.
Whereas Armstrong, who you suggest comes in, is underdone ? Your logic is confusing, to say the least.
TDL also has had more time out than Shaw? Though I would like to see him in, due to his natural instincts, and smarts, as a forward

Shaw played NAB Cup while TDL was recovering from injury (from memory).

Adam Goodes, with bad record, can accept one match for rough conduct J Surjan. Jack Grimes can accept one match for rough conduct D Jackson.

Shaw had 10 & 11 posies Ernie, I don't think he has had so few since his first season. In the third against Freo Hill started to do a bit and Shaw was looking a bit winded I was there I could see everything even what was going on behind play when they were resting and Rhyce was bent over a couple of times. Last week he didn't play very well, full stop! He just had two or three weeks out and had an interrupted pre-season due to soreness. Armstrong I will have you know has played all the resies matches and the last trial. TDL has played all the matches in the Resies so far including a match during the break. Rhyce only played his first against Freo after injuring himself in the pre-season game against GCS. He came off at half time there and didn't come up in training and missed two and if you listen to Matt Cameron he says back injuries can take time.

Nothing to lose by going to the tribunal. Go for "Insufficient force to warrant suspension".

                  Goodes should appeal.
No high contact and both players with identical approach to the ball !!

                  Unfair to say the least.

So Lake only gets a week for a fist to the face, Buddie gets nothing for a trip yet Goodes gets a week for going low - trial by media

Absolutely 100% agree. There is certainly precedent. Any suspension...even "low impact" has to achieve a force worthy of suspension - otherwise every head high tackle would result in a suspension! Player not hurt...impact not high enough...free kick the correct result......yeah right!

+1 -- was thinking exactly the same thing.
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!

He got a week for being dumb !!! - I hope somebody asks him why he slides in especially after he had carry over points for the same thing earlier in the season - he is our champion - it was soft but so unnecessary unless he has a good reason for doing it ???

The whole system is flawed, the inclusion of impact and effect makes the whole thing a farce.
Sure it's great the thugs were weeded out of the game, but do we really want a former milksop of a player to turn football into a game for milksops?

The absurdity that a deliberate trip (which missed) is not penalised yet a hard tackle is penalised if the player tackled lands badly.

Only a lawyer could come up with a charge like "unduly rough play"

You might be able to bluff others with this rubbish, but some facts....
Armstrong completed his first full training session on Wed 28th March...2 weeks ago. He was then scheduled to play reserves against GWS,- game cancelled.
He's played 2 reserves games and been training with the squad for 2 weeks.
As for Shaw , he was out of action for a few weeks only.
His role on returning has been a tagging role, hence the low possessions. Hill is a class player, and Shaw clearly beat him.
To leave him out this week would be laughable....and I'll bet you anything it won't happen.
