Ah the memories....2005....what is a website for??? Bartering, that's what. I had just had my first kid, had no spare cash but seeing as I lived out of town (Buxton/Marysville) I made a deal with Bron. She paid for my ticket to the Saints Prelim ($60) and I picked her up from the airport at 6.00 pm. I said, "Er...just stand out the front and look for the 1989 White Falcon station wagon with the Swans scarf across the dashboard". We made it through the rush hour traffic to the G - just.....well it was better than spending the dough on a taxi, eh?

Bron turned out to be a perfectly attired Sydney lawyer/marketing/corporate type who doesn't hang around here anymore....and I moved to NZ 'cos I had another kid....and our district sort of burned down :-(

Mate, we have never met, but I remember the concern from a number of us on here after black Saturday. That's what being part of the Swans "Family" is all about.
