Swans v Kangaroos Game Day Thread

According to my sophisticated weather monitoring equipment (aka looking out the window) there is no chance of rain today so we should see a dry track

This will be a cracking game of footy and while we have some big outs I still think we can get over the line.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

The sky is a brilliant blue at the moment but I'm sure it will be falling in numerous times on this thread between 3.15 and 6pm this arvo....

Looks like a cracker of a day for some footy :-)

I often thought we had too many 'cups' commemorating matches. I must say ever since they announced the HeartKids Cup this match has taken on great significance. I want this Cup!!! Lets hold this cup for many years!!

Rather mysteriously managing to be sunny cloudy here in the East (that's similar to hungry thirsty), so the ponch will still be coming to the SCG.

            Extremely important game today.

            Win and we're 2nd.

Lose and we can drop to as low as 7th.

I'm excited. Great test for us in terms of depth. Watching a hugely depleted Eagles out muscle the Hawks last night, we really need Armstrong, Seabs and Everitt to step up as we are going to need them as the season goes on.
I'm confident we can win today and leave a fair heap of roadkill out of the SCG.

The boys have come and said that they want to make the SCG a fortress again, especially after a few of the dissapointments of last year. Even with our 2 big outs in Goodes and Mumford, this still counts.

C'mon boys, make the SCG a graveyard for all visiting teams!!!!

Not at all confident of this game. But then I am naturally a pessimist. I just want to see us keep petrie below three goals and aaron edwards to no more than three. Their midfield is as good as any in the comp and their ruck combinations seriously good. They lack quality tall backmen but our forward line structure and players do not exactly inspire in this way. I think North's form is actually pretty good and not just from beating geelong.

                    Good luck today bloods !

we need to hurt them in the midfield, I'm sure to the boys are up to it. Here's hoping for a breakout game for Jesse in teh forward line. Get that bag of goals Roos used to talk about that would lift his confidence

Jesse needs to remind himself a game a few years ago against Hawthorn when he crashed packs like a bull and kicked 3? He played super that day. Use your body Jesse - lay some hurt on them!
