Is it just me, or is this thread really unfortunately named? When I see the words "shatter" and "Rohan" together the image I see is not pretty.

Really feel for Gary and hope that he can bounce back. I guess time will tell the long-term impact of the break.

And again - "left tibia". I'm not going mad, am I? It is the right leg? There are photos and videos if these journos care to check.

Yep, it was the right leg.
Maybe it's the left tibia in the right leg.

Okay in this article talking to Gazza's dad, he mentioned that the surgeon said he could make a full recovery by R1 next year. . Doctors can be misleading in the level of optimistic information they give, but I suppose what can be gather is that there was a clean break that still has the possibility of healing well. I suppose that's some level of good news.

                From your lips ... well, the surgeon's ... well, Gazza's dad's ... to god/dess/es/Elvis' ears, I hope.

                    What a complete joke.

Sliding in with the knees when the opposition player is also sliding in = Bad
Sliding in with the feet when the opposition player is on his feet = OK

Good, he did what 100 players do every week and what every player is taught all through junior and senior footy.

Thomas being rubbed out does not fix Rohan's leg.

Alright - not sure if we came to a conclusion on sending any well wishes through for Gary but I am nominating myself to organise a big Get Well card for Gaz. Not sure what the best way is to include everyones messages. Any thoughts are appreciated. I just think it would be nice to show some RWO love for one of our injured players. I'll have a think about the best way to include everyones messages on a card but as I said - throw any ides at me.

I reckon you could start a thread, and then after a certain period of time, cut and paste the comments into a word doc then print it and include it with the card. Just a suggestion, and thanks for offering - its a good idea.....

Yeah I think that's looking likely. Thanks Jono. I just noticed Nomae mentioned something similar with regards to sending a letter so happy to help. I just think this will be a testing year for Gary. Anyway we can provide a bit of support to our players is all the better for everyone as people on here have mentioned. The players, the Club, the fans. It all adds to the culture. As we have done in the past for Benny Mac and Jarred etc.

Theres already a few messages in here - Scott maybe you could add a little more to the title of the thread and prompt people for some more well wishes if they want to send them through? Or start a new thread? Whatever is better.
