Yes Joey is starting to become the one everyone gets starry eyed over! That is all good! But the bigger picture Al! 'Team Game' I just get gooey over the way we are playing and the team game that is developing, especially the excitement every time a goal is scored.

I was there. Yayyyyyyyyy. What a beautiful afternoon - in so many ways.
PS: Posters before half time - don't beat yourselves up - you were only telling it like it was.
I didn't get into the stadium until the beginning of the 2nd quarter so only had one qutr of 'what the .....'. The Swannies were just being so outplayed. I was so pleased that I was sitting in lovely sunshine in the Eastern stand looking down to the Northern stand which seemed to be a sea of red and white, banners, people, etc.. Hats off to all who were there, it was a great sight and even greater sound as the chants went up - especially in the 2nd half. The 'Swans ... Swans ... Swans ... ' one was really impressive. Certainly the best part of the 1st half.
Then what happened! It was amazing - a different team came out. The last half of the last quarter was just stunning. A goal, another goal, who was that?, then another ... It rained goals. This was the Swans! Deafening silence from the Hawks supporters surrounding us, delirious Swans chanting echoing all round the ground from the N. stand. It was sooooooo good.Comment

Shaw did another very good tagging role. Rioli was Practically unsighted most of the game.
I thought Everitt was very ordinary again he does not make enough impact in contests.
Bird, goodes, JPK, smiff, okeefe, Jude, Parker, ted, mattner all outstandingComment

Everitt was ok later in the game, but definitely sub-par early on. He looked like he was slipping back into his old, ineffective ways. Does anyone remember what Longmire said to him? "Not good enough!". Also agree that AJ's decision making was not always the best. He wasn't quite as "deer in the headlights" as LRT used to be, but he did make some bad decisions. We need these two to improve if we are going to set a record winning margin for a grand final
Also, the TV coverage was brilliant. The commentators were more interested in discussing the game than being stand-up comics, they actually provided *analysis* of team structure and the play, they called what was happening off-screen and the vision included lots of pulled-out, wide angle shots so you could see what was going on. I wish all games were covered like this. As for eulogising Buddy, I don't blame them. He is probably the best forward in the competition and you have to worry every time the ball goes anywhere near him. Makes the job that Teddy & Reg did shutting him down all the more impressive and the commentators rightly praised them for it.Comment

His kicking was super too. He did a beautiful baulk out on the wing and then delivered slick as you like. A great game. Young Dan had a beauty 30 pos at 83% is pretty hot.Comment

As a few of us birds have been stalking Joey for a couple of years now, it should be no surprise to you lot to find out we are right. a) he is a hottie. b) we know our footy, and we had dibs on him early on. I love it when our observational acumen comes out right.
So if I say Drey might just be better than he thinks he is, and one day may grow into his skin, then perhaps I am heading in the right direction.
As for Big Ted, and Smooch, snoggies on the way to both of them.
Feeling so smug just now.
MUST beat Adelaide next week - I was at the last game and I just died a supporters death. Don't want a repeat.
AND thanks for confirming that my eyes did not deceive me! and that Nick Davis (you know NIC DAVIS!!! - no matter how you put it) was a runner for the Swans at this game. There were shades of Nic out there for the last half, that's for sure.If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

for me I see us being considered as genuine challengers is just awesome
we bring an aura now that is over and above our tough contested name tag...............we will bring that extra 5 % of hype that plays on the minds of the opposition !
nothing better then being a front runner
yeeee hah !!"be tough, only when it gets tough"

Awesome, awesome win. Don't have much more to add as it's been already said before, just really happy we were able to give Goodesy a memorable milestone. He's a champ.
I thought we were beaten tactically in the first half and that our defenders were exposed for size against Roughead and Hale when he went forward (luckily Buddy had an off day... has he put on a few kilos??) but full credit to Longmire for turning it around in the second half and our midfielders really stepped up to win more of the footy. Did not expect anything like what happened in the last quarter, it was just brilliant. I think Bolton moving into the middle in the second half helped to lift the other midfielders around him (he had been playing as a defensive half forward on Hodge according to the commentators), and Bird's return to form has also helped out the likes of Jack and Kennedy.
The Crows will be tough next week, they are 4-1 and are still a bit of a bogey side, it will help us that they are coming off the Showdown, especially if Walker misses.Comment
