    True.

But thats the problem, we shouldn't have to work our way back in. We need better matchups from the first bounce. LRT needs to go to make way for Jesse to give Reid some relief.

I think McGlynn needs to get involved more up forward as well.

Cmon - Goodes could not get off. The ball was still down that end. He put his hand up and signalled he was done but you cant just run off from FF when the ball is in play. Cut him some slack.

We need a serious forward line. Replacing LRT and Everitt for White and TDL.
Saying this Goodes looked very threatening as full forward

They won't risk Goodes either if he's not completely right we'll have to do without him. I agree LRT had less than his best game tonight and I'm an LRT fan. perhaps he's worried about his injury and it may be tha twe should play White until LRT gets his confidence back. I guess we'll wait to see whether Goodes is playing to evaluate changes to the side

Any real clues as to the Goodes injury?

We should have won that and if we had, we'd all be singing a different tune. We hit the post a few times, we lost Goodes when he was firing in our forward line, Jetta's last shot at goal should have gone through etc etc. I'm sulking big time about losing that game. Sam Reid is really pissing me off and right now I feel like he should be dropped. McGlynn was kicking to Crows players far too often. Jetta was superb. I also though that Jack, McVeigh, Bolton, Malcezki and Seaby all played well. Damn Adelaide winning a game we deserved to win.

If we're on we should be able to cover Goodes against Richmond and Melbourne so as long as the injury isn't major we'll be okay.

LRT is the golden child. Wont get dropped. White is the better option though - better in the ruck and will kick goals. Frustrating.

Crows were hungry tonight - rebounded very well. Kicked everthing. One of those nights.

I don't think LRT is a terrible player but I really think there's more of an upside to playing Jesse White. Reid's obviously struggling which means our forward line is lacking a (functioning) strong target at the moment. LRT is certainly tall enough, but I think Jesse White probably has a bigger presence and dare I say, a better footy brain, than LRT. I don't think there's any benefit to dropping Sam Reid, I think he just needs more of a support structure around him than what he's got at present.

Tonight was disappointing, but we let Adelaide kick four goals to start the last quarter and still got within four points of a win, all without Goodes - I'm not too worried at this point.

Seeing as Nick Davis is running around out there in the orange ensemble could he make a come back? He was a great mark and even better kick for goal (well it doesn't hurt to dream) !
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Crows were very good and seem to have a very even group with a few potential stars.

The swans did not play bad but need to win these games to challenge for top four.

On the positive note Jetta fulfilling his potential and with any functional forward line we would have won easy.

I like the changes Horse has made to the playing style, but he and the coaching group have a major challenge to have a functional forward line. It sounds like a broken record, but get that right and we are serious top 4 contenders. Without it we are in the same position as the last few years of being close but not competitive with the elite teams.

I feel for Reid - his confidence is shot - and wouldnt we love to have a player like the mullet at full forward. Maybe, as painful as it is, it's the loss we needed to bring us back to reality. After all we have never has such media adulation before. So flying under the radar is looking more appealing now.

its not just the forward line. i've been blaming the forward line. but it is also the style of just bombing it long repeatedly. when the other side has a good spoiler ala gibson, maxwell, or any number of crows it just comes out too quick. we really need to look at how it goes in there as well as what is in there when we are kicking it there.

I thought he was a little better in the 2nd half. Maybe he's turning the corner.

I am extremely upset, but.....it is a human thing....when you win the first 5 of a season...in any sport...you start to unavoidably fantasise about maybe, just maybe, going through the year undefeated!!!! Then when that first loss arrives, especially a very close loss.....dreams are shattered and a whole new mindset has to instantly come into play. Well...LOL, that is what happened to me anyway....
