Fabulous effort by the kid and kinda puts the lie to Roosy's comments earlier in the year about clubs not selecting some of the indigenous kids. Jetta, lightly framed, ordinary engine, sporadic input, could have been exhibit A for Roos - but Jetts through no doubt plain hard work on his part has turned that all around. Keep it up fella, it's a joy to watch!
Roos could be a genius, pretending that he's saying that about other indigenous players when it was really directed at Jetta to make him take that step up.
It is going to be interesting to see how opposition coaches start to respond to Lewis and the impact he has been having. Especially with Goodes out for a few weeks, there is an argument that if a team can stop Jetta, they can go a long way to stopping the Swans. There probably aren't too many taggers who can match him for pace once he has the ball, but they can position themselves to try to stop him getting the ball in the first place.
We've seen Stephen Hill at Freo struggle for a couple of seasons with the close attention he's been getting. Like Lewis, he doesn't need many touches to rip a team apart so he's been an obvious target to curtail. He seems to have started to learn how to work his way through a tag. It will be interesting to see how soon Jetta starts getting that kind of attention, and how he responds to it.
This is a great package of Jetta's 19 behinds and his first goal with some nice photos at the end.
Good job uploader!
