Game Day Thread - Round 7 against the Tigers (please play nice)

i'm happy enough to bite. our team has a list. if we rated everyone from 1-40 white is never going to be top ten and maybe not top twenty. but our midfield group and delivery was just desperately bad - and too often because of a forward line which is chopped and changed without any improvement the midfield bombs it long to a contest where our half forwards get to the pack very much second

white was rarely outmarked forward of the ball. on the other hand our half forwards were smashed time and time again.

the real issue is that the range of players in our first 10 who failed tonight and the coaching group who were appalling. o keefe playing spare at the back because he was comprehensively outplayed forward. mcveigh who did not win a one on one contest. richards and grundy who conceded too easily. mcglynn who was anonymous.

name one of our midfield group who beat their direct opponent - the only possibility is jetta - name one of our defenders besides aj who beat their forward or name one forward who beat their opponent.

White looked dazed, but took a beautiful mark. Seaby was poor. Everitt was variable. TDL did well with what he had. Teddy was bulldozed by Riewoldt.. And the video replays show he is a dog of a player. Bumping and pushing Teddy and getting away with scot free. McGlynn was inconsistent. Not many bright patches. Parker and Hannebery were dependable. Old hands really stood up, especially Bolton and O'Keefe but it wasn't enough. A few shanks and bad decisions, and also horrendous umpiring. Reid also pretty quiet.

I would be interested how many people who bash white for being soft, want Everett in the side?

Despite the chances he had been given, I don't rate one game he has played in a bloods guernsey

Brilliant..... Sometimes when your favourite dog runs away, they eventually come back and show you why you love them so much. I hope this happens with Sam.....

Our game plan consists of bombing into our forward line. Might work occationally if
a) you're lucky and it finds a forward
b) youve got a gun forward (goodesy?)
c) The opposition dont play a spare man in defense.

Seems the opposition have worked us out, and adopted (c). Damn clever these coaches.

Doesn't take much to work it out! @@@@ing so bad tonight in the first half. Adelaide did a job on us last week when the ball fell and do you know what, Richmond did it again. We don't have any small under our talls. Our smalls go their own ways and don't feed off our talls! @@@@e! Benny, Macca, Kizza all need to feed off our big guys!!! Not just from the stoppages under them at marking opportunities! We never have anyone under Sammy or the resting ruckman

I don't care that people are frustrated at this afternoon's game and are looking to take their anger out on others. If you can't play nice, then go and take your chill pills and come back and post when you've calmed down. This thread is temporarily closed while I do a clean up job.

Anyone who abuses anyone else from this point forward is going to receive a 24 hour enforced cooling off period.
