I tend to agree with this. I'm no coach and I don't know what they're looking for but the quality & timing of his lead for his goal on Saturday was perfect. That's instinctive. He only had a metre or two on his opponent but that's all he needed.

We have been saying this for a while. TDL is VERY important for our forward structure as he is a natural lead-up forward when our other forwards are contested-possession forwards. This was one of the reasons Micky O was so good - he could lead up as well as outmaneuver. TDL hasnt got the body shape to outmaneuver his opponent so has had to develop his lead.

I Think our fringe players should all get a go between now and seasons end, have a look at geelong last year and footy overseas where man management is a massive factor, all our top 10-15 players between now and seasons end should all get a rest at some stage, its a fact of coaching in footy in todays game that you have to man and time manage to compete with the best.

        Ins- Moore,Pyke,Walsh,Gordon or Morton
        Out-Mcglynn,Seaby,Everitt,Mcveigh or White.

I know we will never do this as we think its panicking to make sweeping changes but for me its just as much about form as it is giving guys a chance against weaker sides and rotating the list as much as possible.

          I'd still like to see:
          OUT: Everitt, White, Seaby
          IN: Walsh, LRT, Pyke.

In his PC this morning, Longmire mentioned Parker and Hanners face tests in training - hopefully they're fit. He also mentioned Armstrong; I wonder if he's being considered for a tactical change - Malceski, McGlynn?

I wanna see quite a few changes all up. We ain't gonna win the flag with the 22 that played at the weekend. So it's worth throwing a few speccies.

First......Pyke, Pyke, Pyke for at least 3 games...has to be better than Seaby
Second....Moore in for McGlynn. Just too many shocking kicks into the fifty...several weeks in a row.
Third.....TDL to start and stay on ground...you know he;s, like....a PROPER goal kicking forward!!!!!
Fourth....Walsh (obviously) for Everitt...then we have 2 tall forwards ....yippee!!!!! It's not brain surgery :-)

Malceski has been playing well, doubt they'd ditch him. McGlynn could be an out, but I don't think Armstrong will muscle his way into seniors this week. As Walsh is in, I am less confident about Pyke. I would reckon 2 or 3 changes max, but if Parker and Hanners pull up sore then it's gonna be a lot of new faces then

S9 one of your wishes has been granted - Walsh in. That is good news, he is very excited.

I would go with Pyke in too and the choice of who to leave out would be 2 of White, Everitt, Seaby, LRT. Let's say LRT is deemed not fit enough, who should get the flick? None of them seem to be able to take pack marks - perhaps White the best and did he take one mark on the lead, I think. None of them seem able to impose their bodies in a contest. Seabs is the best ruckman and surprisingly he made 6 tackles last Sat so that would put him ahead in that area but he would be the least mobile? Everitt has a great kick, if he ever gets the ball. I think I would keep Everitt in but only if they were going to play him on a wing or as sub. And I would go with Seabs over White - especially as it would be Pykes first senior game for a long time.

I would have a good look at Benny's last couple of games and put him on notice - both he and McVeigh need more of a 4 quarter contribution/impact.

If LRT is backup ruck then I have to call absurd shenanigans.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

Congrats Walsh. Great to see Pyke come back in. But LRT as ruck support is pretty dodgy.

I wonder who will fill the dreaded sub position this week?

I would assume that Parker would be the sub, only to minimise his game time because of the knee. If not then I have no idea. It's a better balanced looking side on paper

For a dry track it looks a pretty balanced side.
Can't wait to see what Walsh has to offer.
I'm hoping for some much needed bash and crash, and a few clunks would be nice.

Good side. Finally 2 settled KPP in the forward line with Walsh and Reid there. with another natural forward in TDL there.

Hope Mcglynn can get his mojo back as the small forward/crumber, although he seems more injured than out of form? I dunno.
