I think Scott there are some players who don't get dropped. A lot of teams keep expereienced players in regardless of form for fear of a young or lesser experienced player having a poor game as the replacement.

Interesting to read Matthew Richardson's analysis of Adelaide's game plan (AFL site). One thing they were doing, and clips of their game against us were used as illustration, was bringing the ball back into the corridor as often as they could because our game plan has our players running to the flanks. It was not so much them having more speed than us but their players executing their statergy more successfully.
